I was an avid reader of The Kirby Collector from the beginning but left off after a while. I still buy the odd issue of that title or others like Back Issue or Comic Book Artist whenever one catches my eye. Great stuff and I'm so grateful that the Morrows are publishing these mags.
But to be just a little critical, I'd like to see them - that is, their mags, the writers who provide the articles for them - once in a while be a little more critical themselves: for example, of how Kirby's creations have been handled by DC/Marvel and their hired hands over the years. All too often these mags come off as cheerleaders for the latest revival, whatever its merits or lack thereof, as if they're just happy anyone's bothering with them at all.

Here are another 4 digital issues I just purchased, most likely the last for now. I couldn't resist the Neal Adams covers & the other 2 Batman themed ones..

I own quite a few of the Companion books, and lots of issues of Back Issue and Alter Ego. Me too. the Legion Outpost/Companion book, to specify one special book, is phenomenal. I also really liked "Rough Stuff" and tho no longer publishing, the back issues are well worth picking up.

I loved Comic Book Artist and Alter Ego back in the early '00s. I had to stop because I couldn't afford them (hell, I couldn't afford my comics anymore either), but it was high high quality historical stuff and I love every issue I have.

I have a handful of issues of Back Issue and, I think, one copy of Alter Ego. They're always fascinating reads.

I generally spend about as much on Back Issue, Alter Ego, and Comic Book Collector as I do on new comics. HUGE fan.

I love anything TwoMorrows ! They are absolutely phenomenal. Highest quality. I'm eventually going to get them all.
Good dense reading on Alter Ego. Loads of stuff I never knew.
I met them both at my first Comic-Con. Great guys as well. So glad this has worked out for them.

Morrow was my maternal grandmother's maiden name. I might be related to them. There are 66,000 Morrows in the US, so not likely - but possible.

Latest announcement from TwoMorrows: ___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ We’re proud to announce the April release of Eddy Zeno’s wonderful biography of legendary Superman artist Al Plastino! He co-created Supergirl, Brainiac, and the Legion of Super-Heroes, drawing those characters’ first appearances, and illustrated the initial comics story to feature Kryptonite. And Kirby fans know him as the guy charged with the job of redrawing Jack’s Superman heads in Jimmy Olsen (something he wasn’t too happy about). With his long career in comics, this book is way overdue. Check out the free preview and preorder AL PLASTINO: LAST SUPERMAN STANDING at this link: twomorrows.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=95_93&products_id=1237___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
