Holy crap! I think we just discovered that Zach Snyder posts on this forum! Lol, good one. But as I've said, I'm not even the biggest fan of the movie, but I just don't get that mentality of rooting against a movie and attacking it with pseudo facts because it didn't suit one's own subjective expectations.

I finally saw it this past weekend. I went in with low expectations, so I was pleasantly surprised to find out it wasn't as bad as I feared. As most people have stated, the portrayal of Luthor was the biggest drawback. "Giggling Lunatic Luthor" is so far off from what the character has always been portrayed that it really can't be considered the same character.
Another issue I had was the reason for Batman's about-face on the whole "I have to kill Superman" plan, which was the main motivation for the movie. He's about to kill him, but changes his mind because Superman's mommy has the same name as Batman's dead mommy? Well of course, common mommy names negates the entire concern that he'll destroy the world with his god-like powers.
Wonder Woman was great though.

I was talking to several of my friends at the Comic Book Store that I go to and they all said that 55% of the moviegoers did not like the movie at all and only 25% of them like it very much ... the rest of the moviegoers and including the 55% vowed not seeing it again even in theaters and on television. Which means that 25% of the moviegoers wanted to have a 2nd look at the movie and the rest don't it's kind of telling you something about this movie. I just wanted to share that. Go see the movie. It's not as bad as you're hearing. We've already pointed out all of the main problems with it (Lex, "Martha!", etc.), but as it stands it is a fun movie to watch. I'd rather watch BvS again then any other Marvel movie already out (except Deadpool). This movie also got me back into reading DC again too so for that I am thankful. I have faith Warner Bros. will get it right. They are already re-shooting some of Suicide Squad due to the backlash over BvS' darker tone. Most everyone liked Wonder Woman in the movie, main complaint was not enough of her. We'll get her movie in the summer of 2017, and then there is Justice League Part One in November 2017. That will be the one they need to get right. If that movie tanks (and yes, Snyder is directing), that may be it for this version of DC on the silver screen.

I'm hard of hearing and I will probably wait until the DVD comes out with close captioning and all and having said that ... Ben Affleck is one of the most difficult actor to hear on the big screen and I will make my opinion on it then. Henry Cavill is a step below Ben in speech and that's one of the reason why I didn't like his Man of Steel movie at all. Even with your praises here and I understand your love for it and all ... but I have my reasons for not watching it on the movie screen and prefer it on Cable and/or DVD with close captioning.

The CCF stats so far : 12 members enjoyed/loved it 4 didn't like it at all 2 were neutral about it I can't help but think that despite flaws, this and MOS will age far better as movies than Avengers Speaking as (I'm assuming) one of the 12 that liked it (despite serious issues with it such as mopey Superman, killer Batman and general poor pacing in the first half or so), I'm sure when I look back on my life from my deathbed, I'll have watched Avengers many more times than Bats V Supes. The Marvel Studios films are just such fun, joy-filled nuggets of nerd-service, as rewatchable to me as Ghostbusters, Big Lebowski, Princess Bride, Back to the Future movies, Indiana Jones movies, OT Star Wars, the first 2 or 3 Reeve Supermans, Spaceballs, about 2/3rds of the Star Trek movies...

Yesterday I realized I'd never watched Captain America: Winter Soldier. I rectified that mistake and oh my gosh was it great! I loved BvS, but if I rated BvS a 9/10 then Winter Soldier is a 18/10.

I'm off to see this movie tonight with some friends that invited me to come and I will write up my thoughts about it tomorrow morning sometimes after I watch First Take that starred Stephen A. Smith, Skip Bayless, and Molly Qerim.
I just can't believe that I'm watching it tonight!

I loved the film! However, I was disappointed in how they made Lex Luthor. The actor acted more like the Joker then Lex Luthor. No, wait I'll even go more twisted then that. When I saw how this Luthor looked & behaved it made me think of that psycho that shot up that theater when Dark Knight Rises was playing.

Wow that is some high praise. I've been meaning to watch CA:WS as well. Your rating makes me want to see it ASAP!

Performance by Actor/Actress that I've seen: List from Internet Movie Database While it is fresh from my mind
Ben Affleck / Bruce Wayne / Batman His performance as Batman (He is 43 years old and that's why I have reservations about his role as Batman) was painfully average and much better than his performance as Daredevil and not a good as Hollywoodland of where he portrayed as George Reeves/Superman. Too grim and too much gritty and I hated his costume (Mad him look Fat) very much. Very rugged and a dark (Like Marvel's Punisher) outlook as the Dark Knight from Gotham City. Final Grade: C
Henry Cavill / Clark Kent / Superman His performance as Superman was better than his Man of Steel garbage and having said that he was pretty determined and very much the star of the show and I still don't like his costume either and his interaction with Luthor was pretty poor indeed. I like his action shots and one of the better actors in this movie. Final Grade B-
Gal Gadot / Diana Prince / Wonder Woman She is no Lynda Carter but she literally stole the show in her short glimpse of her on screen and I was shocked to see how well she handled her role and I find her costume the best of the three. She has great potential and I wished she had more airtime and she was good as Wonder Woman. Count me in seeing her in upcoming movie as Wonder Woman! Final Grade B+
Amy Adams / Lois Lane I just don't care for her role as all. Wasn't all that cracked up to be and I wished she did a better job in this movie. Her role in Man of Steel was great in this movie she wasn't that good. Final Grade D
Laurence Fishburne / Perry White Did a good job as Perry White and he was the only true professional in this movie and I enjoyed his role as Perry White. Final Grade A
Jesse Eisenberg / Lex Luthor Pathetic - Final Grade F
Diane Lane / Martha Kent Final Grade Incomplete meaning that her role was pretty much a boring character to watch. They should do away with her in future movies.
Lauren Cohan / Martha Wayne See Diane Lane
Jeremy Irons / Alfred Pretty darn good and I've liked his portrayal as Alfred. Fit the bill as Bruce Wayne Butler Final Grade B+
Holly Hunter / Senator Finch Wasted Time and Effort on her and I think that they should do away with her in begin with and I just did not care for her role at all. Final Grade D
I did managed to see other characters as well and I was kind of surprised that they managed to squeeze them in and it was too much too see and I felt that Zack Snyder overdid this movie by a country mile and that's why I did not care for it. I had a hard time liking this movie and having said that it was a two and half hour movie and I felt it would be better if they had taken out some scenes and characters. I think it was 20 minutes too long.
For Zack Snyder work in this movie was at best a C+ and I tried my best to enjoy this movie but I had a hard time accepting Affleck as Batman who is 43 years old and I consider him too old to play Batman. They need to replace him with a younger more athletic actor and I just having a hard time coming up with one that would work in all future movies.
That's all I have to say about Batman v Superman ...

Lauren Cohan / Martha Wayne See Diane Lane
Changing my Grade from an Incomplete to a F
HOLD THE PHONE!
In the Comic Book World Martha Wayne is dead and why in the world that Zack Snyder put her in the movie in the 1st place baffled me and I was having coffee this morning at Starbucks and thinking about the movie that I saw last night and he did not do his homework very well. Having said that both Diane Lane and Lauren Cohan should not been hired in the 1st place and having said that Zack originally got a grade of C+ and I'm downgrading to a C because in my world a C Grade means that I don't like it and/or like it. Having said that I feel that he failed to check on the history of Batman because Martha Wayne is dead.
That's all I have to say about it.
