So Zack Snyder has essentially turned Bruce Wayne into Frank Castle and Superman into...Batman.
Your overseer of the DCCU, folks.

I'd say he's right when he says: BTW, apart from that sequence, I'd say a lot of bad guys died in TDKR too, specially in the dumpster fight.

I've posted this elsewhere on the forum numerous times, but I consider DKR to be highly overrated. So they lost me from day one when they decided to base the current incarnation of Batman on this version.

But you should know that the movie only takes part of the fight and the origin sequence, from the TDKR. A few quotes too, like the one mentioned above, but nothing major. If you liked Snyder's Superman, you might also like this film.

One of my fears is I won't hear some of the dialog. I couldn't understand some of it on the trailers that were on TV. Esp the scenes between Bruce & Diana.

I have no intention of spending one thin dime or wasting three hours of my life with this movie. I did go and look at all the plot spoilers posted on the internet last night just to kill off any curiousity I might have had about the film. Suffice to say, me not giving the DC cinematic universe my money, time or interest for the next decade is the best for all involved. Next Monday's Supergirl/ Flash team up on tv seems to be a bit more my "speed." I do think the first week's box office will be quite good (put my guess down as $162,557,125) the real test will be next weekend. Will there be enough repeat business and will word of mouth help or hinder it. I just don't think a low score among professional critics will matter much compared to the "cool factor" the film gets among teens and young adults. My guess is that they will like it.

No interest in this film at all. I don't like Superman to begin with. And Snyder is a one-trick pony and that trick was only marginally interesting once. He's a terrible director.

I'll see it this weekend - Superman and Batman in a movie together is just too big for me to pass up, even if it's by the Man of Steel people - but I'm amazed at how they miss the point of these two. I remember Superman and Batman talking in Kingdom Come about how not killing was the one thing that unites them, and how when you strip everything else away from Batman, you're left with a man who just doesn't want to watch any one else die. Ah well...

Ah well... I've never cared for Superman in the first place, but Snyder has essentially changed up the entire characters persona to suit a "new" audience. That's just dumb to me. Kids may have changed a bit, but you're still talking about a character that has appealed to kids and adults alike for over 75 years on a level basically unlike anyone else in pop culture. I don't know when this fad came along that every spandex clad hero who fights equally goofy and over the top villains has to be so serious and dark and brooding all of the time (well, at least in DC's movie efforts)...but it's beyond worn out at this stage. I personally love that Marvel's movie/TV adaptations (with the exception of Daredevil and Jessica Jones, which is understandable in their cases) can pretty much embrace their goofy side.

Exactly The blame has to trickle back to Snyder, Goyer and the execs at Warner Bros. Some SERIOUS changes need to be made or the JLA movie and all future projects are doomed to meet the same fate.

The Captain America movies are better Superman movies than the actual Superman movies...

You have NOT to be, a lifelong Batman and Superman fanboy, to like these last two movies, then?
