For a few months I've been devoting blogposts to one good comics story and one bad comics story along some related theme each week.
For next week, the shared theme is anything related to Xmas. I've got the Good One-- and I'll hazard that none of you can guess which I've chosen (hint: features a Marvel character)--
But are there any really bad Xmas comics-stories? Those that I don't consider "good" are usually just mediocre and not really offensively bad. Even the TEEN TITANS take on "A Christmas Carol" is dumb fun rather than irritating.

I'll give it another day in case anyone else wants a guess... I'll have to look up that X-Men; I just barely remember an Xmas theme to it.

This is often regarded as the worst Christmas comic of all time: You can read about it here: comicsalliance.com/worst-holiday-comics-worst-christmas-comics/That link also features 4 other bad Christmas stories, in case this one does not meet your needs (but I think you'll be hard pressed to find a worse Christmas comics than Warrior #0 - X-Mas).

For the good one I've selected, here's a partial quote that might be a fun clue for someone:
"Christmas Eve... the night [character's name] sleeps!"

Santa the Barbarian looks like it could be best for my purposes, but I don't happen to have a copy for review.

Hmm, from going through GCD entries I see the HOWARD THE DUCK magazine had an Xmas story. I remember most of those issues being bad, though Gene Colan art may save that one. I'll check that out later-- does it stir any memories one way or the other here?
