Jan 19th 8PM on ABC preceding the season 2 premiere of Agent Carter. And there is supposedly a big Cap announcement by Marve Comics (not studios) to be revealed during the special. Members of the Kirby and Simon families are among those set to appear. Here's the text of the original announcement of the show... CBR articleBleeding Cool article-M

I'll have to tape it because it's on opposite a new episode of Flash.

I was hoping for a mini movie, but that does sound fun.

Reminder this is on tonight, followed by the Agent Carter premiere. CW is running 2 DC specials at 9 as well after the new Flash episode. Lots of comic-related tv tonight. Never would have thougfh this many super-heroes would be on prime-time TV when I was a wee lad in the 70s.

Marvel should give that guy another shot.

So the kicker in this is that they announced on the show Steve Rogers will be returning as Captain America in the main comics line this spring. Not sure what will happen with Sam as Cap as they had a segment on that as well.

I've really been enjoying Sam in the role of Cap, and these kinds of announcements just suck the life out of books for me. We all know that Steve will be back as Cap eventually. Why kill the momentum of the current book by announcing its end this far out?

Why kill the momentum of the current book by announcing its end this far out? Other sources say Sam will stay as Cap and there will be 2 Captain Americas in the MU. Steve will get his own book this summer, but Sam will still star in his own book-I saw this after I posted previously and when I posted I had only seen the announcemnt on the show itself not any of the press releases surrounding it. -M

The show is awful, at least from my perspective. It's chockful of inaccuracies and misrepresentations. Peggy Carter was NOT part of the Golden Age cast, she was created by Steve Englehart and Sal Buscema (fleshing out a nameless one-shot Lee/Kirby character from Tales of Suspense). Betty Ross was the female lead. Simon & Kirby did NOT go straight into the service after completing Cap #10, they went to DC after being cheated out of their share of the book's profits by Martin Goodman. The Red Skull was NOT the end result of a failed test of the super-soldier serum in the Golden (or Silver) Age, he was a guy in a mask. They're deliberately distorting history to avoid confusing non-comics readers who only know Cap from the movies. Screw it.
Cei-U! I summon the big (but not unexpected) disappointment!

The curse of watching a poorly made documentary about a subject that you yourself know extremely well. I can't count the number of times I've found myself shouting at the TV during a music documentary because of some glaring factual inaccuracy or other.

That's AWESOME that you're still using a VCR to record shows.
