Use the spoiler tag that CB explained a few posts back. That way you can use as many images as you want without openly saying FU to Cei-U. ... You guys are really something : I was the first one to answer this saying that it would be difficult to me in some cases. But you see that as a "fuck you"?! I wasn't here last year yet, so if there's some more work involved later on, I'm not yet aware of it, how could I? He compiles everyone's choices at the end and breaks it down in various ways and the easier it is for him to compile that the better.

point taken ANd I've spoken with Kurt and he explained to me as well some parameters I couldn't have been aware of, no worries. In next entries, I'll limit to exemples of various styles of significant artistic growth that made an impact on me. In all prior to 8th day, that's what I done, but I concede that in today's entry, as I didn't focus as much on specific works and also had less time, I added a few favorite pages/images, maybe less crucial then usual ones.

In all seriousness, I can't tell you how guilty I felt last night posting all seven pages of that Steranko story. I knew it was pushing the limit, but I was carried away by the idea that posting the full story would give a better idea than any words of my own why Steranko was on my list.
But one of the things I like about the 12 Days - in addition to learning about new things, I'm in full agreement with Arthur about that - is hearing from everyone exactly why they like something, whether new or old (to me). So relying on those images was an act of laziness on my part.
But I do think it's a great thing that someone previously unfamiliar with (to stay with my own case) Steranko can read an entire story online, so thanks to whoever came up with the spoiler-tag idea.

I'm going to go crazy with the 9th day pictures so I'm grateful for the spoiler tags trick.
Thanks again Crime Buster.

I asked you to do me a courtesy. You don't want to. Got it. You misunderstand me. I asked what I was missing in where the workload was in this as I was missing it, that's all, just because I don't understand what the problem is. AND please don't pre-judge on my actions until I do them, never said I wouldn't take it into account, just that it would be in some cases difficult. The more images posted, the longer the thread. The longer the thread, the harder it is to scan for Day 7 is Dick Reachers
When it's surrounded on all sides by seven huge ass pictures. Basically all that scrolling and white noise makes it vastly more time consuming to find people's choices.

Pardon me but the "vastly", I really don't get in general. And white noise it isn't since it's discussions on art. I'm interested and invested in htis subject, so a little scrolling down is a welcome side effect if it means more personnal insights and choices from the participants. In Kurt's case, I perfectly understand the issue, but otherwise, agree to disagree

Even if it's not "vastly" it's time compounded over the hundreds of individual entries. And if everyone has several large pictures in their post, it is going to double or triple the time it takes to scan for the participants Name, their featured artist, and the next guy in line's name and featured artist.
Times several hundred.

More importantly, this is and always has been Kurt's baby. He thought it up back when the CCF was nothing more than a subcategory in someone else's community. It was a first on so many levels - first annual event, first opportunity for each participant to play an authorship role in the thread, first multi-day topic, first multi-thread topic, etc, and it began to define the community that we are now as a result.
This community would not be what it is today without Kurt and his work on the Classic Comics Christmas. We owe him dearly, and if he asks us to post without our shoes on next Christmas, I'll be the first to de-lace.

And if he asks us all to take our pants off... Already got them down to the knees, just in case. Not sure why he just sent me a pm asking me to turn my head and cough, though...

Any chance now you can just agree to disagree without posting about it, Arthur? I thought this was settled when you'd spoken to Kurt. You've picked the wrong person to be disrespectful to. Outside of Shax, I can't think of anyone who has done more for these boards/.
