I understand people are enthusiastic about their entries but PLEASE, folks, could you try to limit yourselves to two or three images per creator? I have to scroll through these threads several times a day to keep my tally current and it can become very confusing very quickly. I can't tell you how often I miss posts the first couple of runthroughs due to this. Also, if you're going to quote one of those long-ass posts, edit out the images.
Cei-U! I plea for mercy!

I can try, but I suspect dramatic failure More seriously, of all the posts here that made me discover an artist I didn't know of or who I never clicked to, the ones that grabbed me were the ones that featured en extensive presentation of the work. I for one regret you didn't present more picture of your latest entry.

Maybe after the deadline date we can post all the extra pictures in a separate thread.

The latter seems straightforward and harmless and something people should just do. I'm curious if it would cut enough to solve the problem.

That's why making scrolling through the threads easier matters. Cei-U! I came very close to not posting any images at all!

I edited it down to three except for one of them which has four. But Kurt is right, some posters are putting up to 10 images. Yikes!

It's much appreciated, kids. And I think 'bone's idea of a post-survey "here's all the cool art there wasn't room for" thread is an excellent one.
Cei-U! You guys rock!

If it's about artists that are not as well covered as John Byrne and such, I want to see more than 3-4 images to peek my interest, and I don't really see how that is a problem, it's not more job for you Kurt, unless I missed something? For me, these posts are some of the most interesting in the forums, and some artists less well covered deserve way more than 3 images to catch the eye IMHO.

For those who feel the need to display multiple pics, thumbnail images can be used. These are enlarged to full jpeg size when clicked upon. Eg

it's not more job for you Kurt, unless I missed something? I think Cei-U! already addressed this in the OP. He works hard to do this for us every year, so it's just common courtesy to respect his wishes here.

Agabn where is it more job? That's what I don't see, it's just about starting a thread, there's really no more job apart from writing your own post. Please explain what I'm missing. But if this is all mostly about statistics (who are the most popular cartoonists amongst us) and not about discovering/sharing artists you're not familiar with or have a very narrow perception of for various reasons, then this loses all its appeal. Yesterday I made a post about Kyle Baker that many seemed to like, which spawned private conversations because of the variety of work I featured and wouldn't so if I didn't. And again, I find it very frustrating when I get only one image from an artist I don't know anything about. I'd like the people who really know his work to showcase it to me, not just going an a blind quest.

If the position of Grand Poobah of this event is up for grabs next year, perhaps you would like to volunteer, Arthur, and you can show Kurt how it should be done.
