Since next Wednesday is a fairly light week, I can't resist adding one more digital-first comic available on comixology from December 30th: Startup #1.1! It's written by me (Darin Henry, writer for Seinfeld, Futurama and a dozen other shows) with art by the incredibly cool Craig Rousseau (Batman Beyond, Harley Quinn) Here's the solicit. Startup #1.1 - Starting Point! After TV news footage of her humiliating rescue by a super-hero goes viral, 300 pound single mom Renee Garcia-Gibson agrees to try an experimental diet drug. But the change to her metabolism comes with an unexpected side-effect: super-speed! Moments after her transformation, Renee must use her amazing new powers to tackle the mob muscle-man known as Glut as well as a nefarious anti-hero army called The Cloud! Veteran TV comedy writer Darin Henry (Seinfeld, Futurama, KC Undercover) joins forces with artist extraordinaire Craig Rousseau (Batman Beyond, Harley Quinn) to bring you the awesome origin of Startup, the newest star in the Sitcomics galaxy of heroes! (29 pages) And if you want to open it before Christmas, it's available to purchase right now at Amazon's Kindle Store

He's art has drastically evolved, no more big feet! Kind of reminds me a little of Erik Larsen. What's the planned lenght/schedule of this?

Craig's art is really excellent. The expressions are what really made me want to work with him and he has not disappointed. Startup's origin arc is 61 pages broken into 3 chapters and it's all drawn and colored. Parts 2 & 3 will follow every 4-5 weeks. Cover for chapter 2 is by Sal Buscema and Craig is drawing arc 2 now!

Well what a nice way to start your comics career (if I understood correctly)! Good luck to you, I'll be reading it when I can (I remember quite enjoying Telepathic IIRC)

Slow week:
Wolverine & Spider-Man. Last chances for Squadron Supreme and Nova. Maybe War Stories, though I've kinda lost interest Maybe Drax, though I wasn't fond of issue 1

That explains why I couldn't find the new issue of Spider-Man. It doesn't explain why anyone would want a Jake Lloyd variant, though. YIPPEEEE!

No sign of Spider-Man or NovaI think I'm done with War StoriesSquadron Supreme just about did enough to bring me back for #3, but it hasn't caught fire. Drax was much better than I had expected. Also got Code Pru, which was interesting enough to bring me back fo the next issue
