Another slice of life - well, the first 5 and a half panels actually happened. I kind of winged it from there.

Ok. So I made this a bit ago but with the way these things work it is only now coming to fruition. I have a 3 page story in:
It's an anthology book in which a whole slew of people ask themselves that question I often ask myself while watching SF and Fantasy films. All those people in the background. The extras. What do they DO all day when there's no interstellar war or alien invasion happening right on their doorstep?

Not finished anything this week - and that includes the paid artwork that I should have given the client days ago! So here's a quick sketch I did today of a character in the Arthur story I'm working on. Pencil in notebook with tweaking and colouring in Photoshop. This is Nimueh the nymph. She's not in the story for long. Two panels at most but she's got a gag. Nimueh is a genuine Arthurian character. Various spellings but I liked this one. Nimueh. Nimueh. Nimueh... ....in the jungle the mighty jungle....

Got stuck on the current project - getting far to fiddly and trying for a particular 'look' and I have a suspicion it is going to be seven or eight pages long. Far too long for the gag. I wish I could do the proper grownup thing of thumbnailing and planning it all out before I start. I read loads of books about comic artistry and they ALWAYS tell you to plan meticulously for page flow and where the beats should be and getting your word bubbles lined up before you start to pencil etc. etc. And I still end up starting top left hand corner top left hand panel page one with no idea AT ALL. So, until I finally finish the Arthur story, here's a doodle I've finally got bored with twiddling and tweaking with. Nothing special. Just trying out a couple of things in Photoshop: ...and as I posted it I realised you should be able to see the Background between her chin and shoulder.
Tweak... tweak...

Finished pencilling the Arthur story (as usual I still hadn't pencilled the end of the strip before I'd coloured and lettered This is page one: it needs tweaking tweak tweak. but once I can tear my eyes away from watching the counters at the Crowdfunder for the anthology. 99% funded!
EDIT: OK 100% funded! Yay!!!! I get paid for art! What a great feeling!

Arthur is taking forever to finish: so here's a little something I prepared earlier:

Finished the Arthur Story: 6 pages. I will post it here as a link because it contains tits and ass and I don't want to get on anyone's naughty list: Perfectly safe for work if you live in one of the less prudish counties of the world. There should be a sliding scale = this is about 'French Early Teen'. goshwowcomics.wordpress.com/2019/05/05/326/

Well that took a bit longer than I was expecting - partially due to my scanner having a nervous breakdown halfway through and me being INCREDIBLY stupid and not noticing I had selected something in Photoshop and spending two whole days trying to fix something which wasn't broken and was, literally, in plain sight, right in front of me the whole time. I mean there. ON THE SCREEN, right in front of me.
Just there
<----------.
I won't do that again.
I'm not sure quite why the last couple of pages are slightly smaller, and there are still a couple of typos and tweaks to fix. but then there always are.... 2 3 4 5 6 7

The above strip (and others) with fewer typos (and the most obvious bits of bad drawing fixed) will soon be on the way to the printers hiding behind this cover: Like the glaring typo I just spotted on the cover as I posted this. Still there on your screen but fixed in the copy that's going to the printer.

Legion Of Daves is pretty amusing! Where does one get a Stupendous Comics #1 if so inclined? Or am I too late?

Not too late at all, beccabear, when I get the things in my sweaty little hands I'll find out how much they will cost to post out.
