Usually a canceled book will show a decrease in interest in their back issue sales. What impact will the cancelation of the FF have on their older issues?

Not sure
But I took advantage of the Midtown 75% off Christmas sale on select back issues.
A lot of Byrne's run on FF happened to be included.
Bought 52 issues for less than $50.
Now a lot of the issues I bought for like 88 cents are back up to $5-6.

I was hoping that the silver/bronze age prices would drop.

I was hoping that the silver/bronze age prices would drop. Not likely. At least for the Silver Age books, you've got less supply and key issues that still can command higher prices. Bronze Age, however, is a different story. I probably paid an average of $1 for every issue I own between FF 200 and 416, and I didn't buy any of them off the racks. This was 8-10 years ago, and I hardly doubt demand has increases or supply decreased.

I suspect Marvel won't keep the FF off the racks for too terribly long, and, the characters aren't completely in limbo as the Torch is in Inhumans and Thing is in Guardians.
Haven't read Marvel for years now, but that's just from keeping up with the Previews. Not sure where Reed and Sue are. Wasn't she in a SHIELD title ?

The fate of Sue and Reed is unknown due to the Secret wars delays. I haven't heard of them popping up in the New MU.

I assume that, since back-issue prices have been steadily rising for years now, some course correction is inevitable.
I don't think that the cancellation of the Fantastic Four, specifically, will effect back issue prices much, though.

I don't expect key issues to go down. I was hoping the others around them would.

I doubt prices will ever fall for the Lee/Kirby run.
Cei-U! I summon the surety!
