I’m in, Shaxper! It might be a few weeks before I can start Women.
I looked at my Cerebus collection. The first issue I’m missing is 246! That’s far in the future! I ordered a few of the missing issues off eBay.
I was surprised ... I was missing 21 issues, including #293 to #297. So I sort of hopped back on at the end.

Man o man I haven't read Cerebus since buying them new at the LCS each month. I was really having financial difficulties near the end so I am missing around 25 or so issues. I know for certain i missed out on the final 3 issues.
This is one of those series I hope to find time for reading but just not sure when? I still have so many others I want to finish before checking back in with the smelly when wet cranky gray furball. When I do decide to start up it will be in a deep dive from the start all the way through so I can delve into wrapping my brain around it all. Or is that dangerously close for providing me with brain damage?

I just read the Cerebus crossover issue from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #8.
Kind of made me give some thought to picking the series up again.

It's the only TMNT comic I had read, and I was completely underwhelmed. Still, it's not a bad 'tale of a young Cerebus.'

I always enjoy it each time I revisit it, but it isn't much of a Cerebus story.

I know I read it when I was much, much younger and having some context of who exactly Cerebus is made it a much more enjoyable read this time around.

Hi shax!
I’ve only got four issues of Spider-Man left in this run and I’ve also been reading Flight before I go to bed. So I should be ready to start Mothers and Daughters: Women in a few days.

I also ordered some of the issues I’m missing. I got 246, 253, 254, 293 and 297 in the mail a few days ago. My original intention was to file them away and read them when I get there. But it’s always been my habit to read comics within a few days of getting them. 246 didn’t do much for me but 297 ... 297 reminded me how interesting that last story arc is.
So I’m thinking of filling in the holes in the last 12 to 15 issues and reading those before I worry about finishing Going Home or the rest of Latter Days.
I’m still missing 17 issues from 255 to 296.

There’s so much going on in Flight, so many parallel stories, it’s kind of hard to keep track.
But wow was I laughing so hard when Lord Julius was standing on his bed, flinging quips at the Cirinist assassin that was there to kill him.

I read the first chapter of Women. Astorias dialogue is cracking me up. She knows what she wants.
I bought these and read each issue as it came out but very little of this looks familiar. I don’t think I ever looked at any of these issues after I read them the first time and put them in the long box.

I’m about halfway through Women and I still don’t remember very much of this. And yet I remember Reads the next volume fairly well.
I do remember Swoon and Elrod as Snuff and Cirin harassing Swoon in the Swooning. But I don’t remember any of this stuff with Astoria.
I’m wondering if I ever read Reads by itself at some point.
I looked at Mikes Amazing World to see what else I was reading during the time Women was coming out. The sequel to Death of Superman is in all the Superman books. Funeral for a Friend. I didn’t read Death of Superman issue by issue but I broke down and bought the trade that was on sale immediately. And then I read Funeral for a Friend and Reign of the Supermen as they came out.
Comics I was reading regularly
Sandman Green Lantern Mosaic Justice League Europe Justice Society John Byrnes The Next Men Dark Horse Presents
New Warriors looks familiar. I love Namorita so I bought it sporadically for a while.
I think that’s it.
It’s a few months before Knightfall when I stared reading Batman and Detective regularly again.

I ordered a few more issues of Cerebus that I’m missing. I’ll have all of the last twelve issues when they all get here. I will probably take a break from Mothers and Daughters to read the last arc. After all these years I’m finally curious about how it all ends.

I finished Women last night. I decided to move on to Reads. But I forgot how text heavy it is. Reads is well named. I read about three paragraphs of the first page and decided I would rather wait until I have a free hour to read the whole issue in one sitting.
