unfortunately it's only a 1-shot 10th anniversary special following the end of the Fade Out.. but it will have the magazine size variant with this wonderful cover (I love the mag size on these) of course I would buy the crap out of an ongoing kung fu werewolf book too -M

Bru also said there was an imminent announcement about something far more epic. Isn't Image Expo around the corner already?

Bru is one of the few writers in comics I would read anything he gets published. Even his grocery lists

He is the true star of our age, indeed. I had been following him almost since his start as he was a good storyteller from the get-go, but I remember distinctivly while reading his Authority run, midwaythrough, he came up with a simple but brilliant concept that made me go "wow, this is the heir of 80ies superheroes Alan Moore stories", he comes up with his own original concepts, finding new angles to old tropes even while using material created by others. I guess Jezebel must hate him too...

I pretty much have a standing order at my LCS for every new book these guys put out, so I'll definitely be getting this. I can't wait to hear what they're doing next.

For me, I'd love to see Brubaker and Phillips return to the pulp super villain series Incognito. I'd love to see them do a prequel series for that one and a third follow up. There was talk at one point that they would eventually return to that series, but it hasn't happened yet.
I know from an interview that Ed Brubaker said he was working on a science fiction idea but he put it on the back burner for The Fade Out and was glad since Image put out so many science fiction comics in the past year.

So, the issue came out and I got and I read it.
I think it's one of my favourite Criminal issues ever and this is a series that has been strong throughout its entire history. Definitely needed more Kung-Fu Werewolf pages though.
