I understand the narrative of Schultz & Castellini's "The Call" fine, what I don't get it is why Superman's such an incredible jerk, or why they'd write, draw, and publish the comic. Batman calls Superman to help a woman shot by guys gunning for Batman. Superman says he might not help "the next time," that it's selfish of Batman to have asked him to help in situations like this all of twice, how he better not ask any other JLAer with powers to ever help, and then won't even fly the woman to a hospital... because... It's not intentional superdickery, because Superman is treated as the good guy here, and Batman as the sadsack on the edge of getting us all killed. What's this from???

Sorry, I thought I'd attached images. It's a Batman Black & White back up from Gotham Knights, I believe. I talked about it a bit over at the Cube a few weeks ago, because it just bugged the hell out of me.

If the cleaning lady became an important character in the subsequent story arc i'd be very impressed.

Jimmy Olsen. What a scamp. It's difficult to keep up with his monkeyshines.

Never woulda thought it would take a cleaning lady to revive Klaw, but it happened: Why is she working in high heels?

Never woulda thought it would take a cleaning lady to revive Klaw, but it happened: Why is she working in high heels? I think she's going for workman's comp. She is clearly not bending with her knees to pick up that sonic blaster. Gives me a stinger just looking at it!
