Yes, even worse than them. I liked Millennium and Genesis wasn't great. You should read and post to shaxper's JLI thread, because someone needs to say something nice about Millennium. Maybe. I said a nice thing... |

I've never actually read Millennium, but from what I've gathered, it seemed like The Guardians commissioned the heroes of the Earth to "be fruitful and multiply" so that they could have replacement guardians. I seriously hope that's just my wild imagination and not the legit plot outline

They decided humanity would be their replacements if they ever permanently left this universe (a distinct possibility in the GL book around that time) so gave our evolution a little push by modifying a group of chosen humans who became known as the "New Guardians", so we'd be ready in a thousand years or so if needed. So presumably The New Guardians would've been heavily encouraged to be fruitful and multiply...though one was gay, one became a disembodied earth spirit, one was already married with kids, one was a plant being and at least one of the others appeared at a glance to no longer have genitalia... |
