 I'm excited to announce a new partnership with sister site The Comics Cube. They offer a vast array of fantastic articles providing in depth exploration of classic comics. We offer a highly engaged community of folks who enjoy reading about and discussing exactly that kind of stuff. A partnership was sort of a no-brainer in that regard. So we reached out to them, they were as excited about a partnership as we were, and as a result, they will now be running their own section of the forum, featuring threads linking to their featured articles for discussion. It's my hope that everyone will give this section of the forum a look and discover just how worthwhile their content is. It's also my hope that their readership will take the time to explore the rest of this site and become a lasting part of our community. comicscube, backissueben, and travishedgecoke have already become very involved in our community here, and I congratulate them in this exciting new undertaking. This is the perfect addition to the front page. I thought that thing needed some articles. A partnership with this site seems like the perfect fit.

So do we comment on Comics Cube stuff in this very thread? Or am I missing something?
I somehow missed Comics Cube before, and love what I'm reading about the FF. Take the Doom Patrol article for example. Fascinating stuff. Never noticed the Doom Patrol thing before: the alienation theme was definitely front and centre for the FF in 1962 when Dr Doom Patrol was being planned. I'm amazed that alienation was seen as an argument *against* the similarity.

So do we comment on Comics Cube stuff in this very thread? Or am I missing something? They have a dedicated section of the forum now where there are threads for various articles of theirs. If you don't see a thread for an article you'd like to discuss, shoot them a PM. Perhaps they could even create a general comicscube discussion thread, or a request thread. It's their space on the site and their choice how it's organized. So glad you're digging the content. It's truly quality stuff, isn't it? |
