I'd be a little more excited if Hester were on art.

Just when Shax thought he was done with Magnus reviews...
After the last Dynamite attempt, I have to say my interest is much lower this time. It had a lot of promise but didn't deliver and hwat I know of the behind the scenes stuff there is no one to blame for that except the IP holders.

Just when Shax thought he was done with Magnus reviews... First reaction: ugh Second reaction: I'm not really going to do this, am I? Third reaction: I'd better get in my preorder...

I'm not really certain why there's been so much trouble getting these stories right, but we've seen more than a few ways on how to do them wrong.

Huh, was fairly certain Dynamite had lost the rights to the Gold Key books. Oh well, so long as Valiant keeps churning out carbon copies that are just different enough to avoid lawsuit, I'll be fine I'm not really certain why there's been so much trouble getting these stories right, but we've seen more than a few ways on how to do them wrong. Dynamite has never really been known for their storytelling prowess so much as suing people into the ground over copyright disputes. That's partly the reason why they're currently the holders of the Atlas/Seaboard characters

Is that just the name Atlas Comics or the characters owned by them? It's not abundantly clear.

Is that just the name Atlas Comics or the characters owned by them? It's not abundantly clear. From what Batflunkie posted above, it seems that the dispute is over the trademark, not the properties. There was a similar legal battle back in the early 2000s over the Valiant properties because the trademark is legally separate from the characters and stories. A group that did not understand this secured the rights to one, but not the other.

I hadn't heard that Dynamite got the rights to Atlas, but it would make sense.
Frankly, I'd be thrilled if this happened.

Dear All,
Right Now, DYNAMITE COMICS is my New King in Comics today and having said that I'm a fan of the following titles:
The Art of Ramona Fradom The Shadow Ian Fleming James Bond 007 Green Hornet The Green Hornet - Golden Age Remastered
Kato Kirby Genesis Lady Rawhide Lady Rawhide / Lady Zorro Lady Zorro
The Lone Ranger Vindicated The Lone Ranger / Green Hornet Mark Waid's Green Hornet Miss Fury Pantha
Queen Sonja Red Sonja / Conan The Shadow / Green Hornet Dark Knights Sherlock Holmes Silver Scorpion
Spider-Man Red Sonja Vampierlla The Spirit Zorro
I don't read all these titles on a given month - but I try my best to read every single one of them through online and print format when I get a chance to do so. This is a pretty hard reading list and I spend about 2 hours a week reading stuff from DYNAMITE COMICS. That's 24 titles in all.
