Is that cuz I'm fascinating or your bored out of your mind. I'm willing to split the difference Get me in the mood and I'll tell you how, during a newspaper strike, NYC mayor Fiorella LaGuardia had a daily radio show where he read the funnies to the audience so they wouldn't miss out on the latest happenings of Dick Tracy, Little Orphan Annie, Popeye and others HA! Because I like listening to people talk about their lives! Especially when the history involves a hobby that I love, and it's new to me, so I'm freshly enthusiastic about it. Plus, people are kind of cool. Especially you, Ish! Aw shucks, you made my day OK, you can have my snow

Aw shucks, you made my day OK, you can have my snow There's only one minor feature of facebook that I wish these boards had: I wish that when you wanted to make mention of something, but not quote someone because quoting the person wouldn't be appropriate for the situation, that you could tag that person by name. That way, Ish, whenever you felt like typing out your story, you could just tag me, so that I would be notified. I'm afraid you'll type it out one day and post it, and I'll totally miss it.

Don't want to derail this thread (even if I didn't agree with the op ) but some of my past history is touched upon here in case you didn't see it classiccomics.boards.net/thread/2694/action-comics-case-missing-comic

Jez tagged me a few times and it showed up in my notifications, but I don't actually know how to do it... -M

If I can find the posts (yeah that'll happen) I might be able to reverse engineer how to do it by looking at it in edit/BBCode mode instead of the normal reading mode, but it might take me a week to track down the posts as it was quite some time ago... -M

I've inserted some here just to test it. @coldwater coke & comics@mrp Also, I think grading is inevitable for any kind of collectible. It's just human nature. I mean, high grade Magic the Gathering cards command a premium even though it doesn't matter what condition the card is when you're playing the game.

Yeah I got a notification you had tagged me (and one you had quoted me). So mystery solved. Good work CB! So, where's the button? -M

Looking at the BBCode it comes in as @ mrp (w/o the space for my tag so @ whatver username seems to be the manual way of doing it.

It's at the top of the post box. It's the one with the @ symbol with the little person, between the letter C and the movie clapboard.

I never knew what the two buttons between insert video (the clapboard) and insert quote were, so I never paid attention to them. Now I know. Thanks. -M

And if your child comes home with a report card full of D and F grades, are you going to march into the principal's office and ask "Why. When and How did this horrid practice of grading begin?"
