I only re-read Corto Maltese: Ballad of the Salt Sea and Will Eisner's A Contract with God every year. Ideally, I wish there was time for me to re-read Cerebus and Neil Gaiman's Sandman every year, but I could never pull that off.

I re read some series when we redid our bedroom this year & I reorganized my long boxes. I also like to pull out classics that the movies are "based" on & refresh my (failing) memory.

I also try to read Flash 1-18 by Mike Baron and Jackson Guice. Best Flash ever.

I also try to read Flash 1-18 by Mike Baron and Jackson Guice. Best Flash ever. The last two times I've reread Post-Crisis Flash, I've skipped the first 44 issues.

My most frequently re-read tpbs/HCs are Global Frequency, Planetary, and All Star Superman (Absolute edition, of course!). I read All-Star Superman for the first time about two years ago, and I could definitely see myself reading that yearly if I owned a copy. But I got it from the library. My branch of the library only has the paperback that has the first six issues, so I've read that while sitting at the library. I keep forgetting to get the whole thing from inter-library loan.

One story that I first read in the 1970s that I still read fairly regularly (probably not yearly) is the JSA story from All-Star Comics #33. That's the one where they fight Solomon Grundy. Geez Louise! One of my favorite comic book stories ever! It was reprinted in Super-Team Family in, I think, 1976. I didn't read much DC back then, but I would sometimes pick up the reprints if they had really old DC stories.

I am more a reread once every decade kind of reader because I try to explore and read new things. As a kid I would read comics dog-eared, but there's nothing I read every year. I am intending to reread Sandman and Moore's Swamp Thing this year, but it's been over a decade since I last read either(I started Sandman reread at the tail end of last year). I don't rewatch many movies any more either even favorites. There's too little time and too many new horizons to explore.

Ideally, I wish there was time for me to re-read Cerebus and Neil Gaiman's Sandman every year, but I could never pull that off. I certainly don't read the entirety of Sandman every year. I am currently rereading the entire series for what I suspect is the 5th time. It's been about 15 years since I first read Sandman so that's about once every 3 years. However, there are particular issues I've read well over 15 times, so more than once a year. "Men of good fortune", "Midsummer Night's Dream", "Three Septembers and a January", "Dream of a thousand cats", "Ramadan"... all stand-alone stories that I love and often revisit. Of the larger arcs, "Brief Lives" is the one I'm most likely to either reread or read parts of. I love the penultimate chapter where Dream and Delirium sit down with Destruction.

There's a tpb that collects all twelve issues. It would be well worth the purchase.
