I had to wait until I was 56 to finally have a wood burning oven at home... and when it's minus twenty outside, it's just bliss. There. I said it! After moving into our current little house over 18 years ago (yipes! Time flies...) and spending the first winter depending on an electric thermal accumulation unit, we had a wood-burning tile stove built:
Oh, man. What a difference...

Had to go into a big box store (Walmart) for the first time in over six months today (had to get ice-melt as the weekend storms used up what I had left over from last winter and our driveway was so bad my wife couldn't get her Yaris up the incline last night after work and had to park in the street). I've found I lost all my tolerance for being in public places with lots of people acting stupid and self-absorbed. I was already frustrated and annoyed by people by the time I got my car into a parking spot. By the time I got back to my car all I wanted was to be back home and in isolation again.
There I said it.

I have loved Jennifer Beals from her first appearance in the movie "Flash Dance" until today There I said it I believe her first appearance was in the 1980 film My Bodyguard as a student with no lines.

My first wife used to do extra work In the background of TV and Movies. In some of the Movie gigs she didn't get paid. The TV jobs counted towards her getting her SAG card.

The world needs an adaptation of Macbeth directed by/starring Tommy Wiseau.
There, I said it.

I have no idea who Tommy Wiseau is but it's bound to be better than the last version I saw. (The 2015 version with Michael Fassbender.) That was awful.

I had to wait until I was 56 to finally have a wood burning oven at home... and when it's minus twenty outside, it's just bliss. There. I said it! I've lived in houses with an open fireplace -- or, in fact, multiple fireplaces at times -- since the age of 2. I love having an open fire. It's so cosy and comforting. It's also handy when you need to find out if that ring you have is the "one ring to rule them all." Here's a snap of our living room with the fire lit and our cat enjoying the warmth... I've always had a wood burning fireplace as well. In fact, in the two homes I've owned, I "de-converted" them from gas burning back to wood burning fire places. Then, in October, I had my annual chimney inspection and found out my fireplace isn't safe anymore. It will cost $13,000 to repair. So I no longer have a wood burning fireplace. I inserted an electric one in its place, but it isn't quite the same. I really miss it.
