The world needs an adaptation of Macbeth directed by/starring Tommy Wiseau. There, I said it. "Anyway, how's your sex life, MacDuff?"

OK, I just found out who Tommy Wiseau is.
It's STILL bound to be better than the 2015 version with Michael Fassbender...

There are some things you see and wish you can un-see on the internet.
Like those cartel videos which would qualify as real snuff.
omgosh.....
There, I said it.

My wife is totally hooked on crime shows where they show some pretty gruesome crimes. Disturbing stuff sometimes. Stop watching it.

Chess is a fascinating game.
Whoever had time on his hands to create it, or modify the game into what it's become did a splendid job.
And I hate en passant.
There, I lost a pawn....again....

Same here... I just can't deal with that move. We never used it when I was growing up and it's not something I "see" when looking at the chessboard.

I think the Japanese game Go is full of intricacies too or at least that's what I picked up from the manga Hikaru No Go

If you want to make a positive impact on the future, just look to the example of North Charleston High School Principal Henry Darby. Good teachers and administrators impact the lives of children at the most formative periods of their lives. If communities and government would support those good teachers and administrators more, through involvement and funding, the future of this country and the world will be assured.

This man exhibits all of the qualities of a saint, and I am delighted that the attention his dedication brought to the plight of his students resulted in financial contributions. However, as usual, tossing a Golden Palmetto Award to him is simply a face-saving slap-ourselves-on-the-back PR stunt for South Carolina, whose educational system is perpetually ensconced, along with those of its neighboring states, on the lowest rungs of the national rankings. Maybe if the state of South Carolina would reset its priorities, rather than fighting tooth and nail against the godless, socialist curse of Common Core, and address the economic and social problems so many of its students face, men like Henry Darby wouldn't have to work the overnight shift at Walmart to feed their students. Meanwhile, according to an editorial last spring in the Post and Courier (Charleston), "about a quarter of all rural homes in South Carolina, or about 10% of the state’s population, lack acceptable internet speeds to get service at a rate that the Federal Communications Commission considers minimally acceptable. More than 30,000 South Carolina students had their education seriously interrupted this spring because they had no digital access after the pandemic closed down their schools." I'm betting Henry Darby would trade a hundred damn Golden Palmettos for a decent school lunch program and Internet access for his kids.

Was thinking about this while reading Usagi Yojimbo earlier, just how much I love period dramas and the code of bushido. To live and die by what you say and how you act, to bring honor/dishonor to yourself and your mentors
I've always found it incredibly noble and inspiring
There, I said it

I was watching the original Lone Wolf movies from Japan...that girl who was juggling the knives, tossing them in the air and letting them land on someone's head was making me wince lol

I have no real desire to watch any of the Godfather films. The subject matter simply holds no appeal for me.
