I was just reading the newspaper the other day. And came across the horoscope section. I wonder if anyone here has ever matched a superhero or supervillain with a horoscope and what makes that character that particular horoscope?
I remember reading that Capricorn said that the temper is worse that day than usual. I was thinking maybe this is The Punisher, or Wolverine, or Batman, well Frank Miller's Batman.
What about you, have you ever thought of horoscopes and where a superhero or supervillain falls under what horoscope category?

I'd imagine at least a few have had their birth dates mentioned. In comics, horoscopes may even be not complete nonsense.

OK, this one brought me out of lurking mode, as it made me smile so much. One of my theories is that Johnny Storm is the son of the sub-Mariner, and if so then he was born in February 1946. I know nothing about horoscopes, so I just checked his sign. You guessed it! It's either aquarius (water carrier) or pisces (fish). Of the two I favour aquarius, because (1) the reasoning behind February suggests early in the month, and (2) this fits my other theory that Johnny should one day herald a new age. EDIT: According to this guide, Aquarians are always helping others, which defined Johnny's career, at least until the 1990s (that's another story). They also love tinkering with any gadgets: sure enough, Johnny's hobby is fixing cars. They love being sociable, but if they don't have alone time this affects them badly. The site says "they do not self-reflect" and "They can become highly resentful if they believe that their voice is not being truly heard or valued." I think that describes the pre-1990 Johnny perfectly. While on the surface he looked like Mr Popular, that was a facade. For example, he only dated four girls before marrying Alicia, and every one of them dumped him. EDIT 2: reading up some more, it turns out that Aquarius is an "air" sign, and not a water or fire sign as might be expected. But I think it's a much better fit to Johnny's personality. While in recent years Johnny has been portrayed as a classic fire sign - confident and animated, in the early years I think he was defined by his stifled potential. I could write much more on that topic. But I think Aquarius, the water carrier (carrying the secret of his aquatic origins) is spot on.

Superman's birthday is coming up...February 29. So he is a Pisces. Here's what my brief internet search said about that.
Strengths: Compassionate, artistic, intuitive, gentle, wise, musical
Weaknesses: Fearful, overly trusting, sad, desire to escape reality, can be a victim or a martyr
Pisces likes: Being alone, sleeping, music, romance, visual media, swimming, spiritual themes
Pisces dislikes: Know-it-all, being criticized, the past coming back to haunt, cruelty of any kind
Pisces are very friendly, so they often find themselves in a company of very different people. Pisces are selfless, they are always willing to help others, without hoping to get anything back.
Seems to be more right than wrong here.

But to stay on topic: basically anybody who was a member of Zodiac had their starsign revealed and I believe quite a few members of Alpha Flight during Seagle's run as Zodiac was a large part of that run.

The Twelve Brothers in Silk from 'Birds of Prey' are a team of villainous martial artists who supposedly were each born in a different Chinese calendar year, giving them each a unique Zodiac sign (Rat, Ox, etc).
But the narrative in the issue that introduces them is confusing, since it said that their father/teacher asked them to kill him 'before the year of their thirteenth birthday'. Assuming he only took 12 years to conceive his sons (he had many wives, and he had all the daughters killed), when the oldest would turn 13, the youngest would turn 2. Youngest 13, oldest 24. They're probably around that age when they face Canary and co.

Back in Avengers #135 we were informed that the Vision was, er, a Virgo...

From what I see online the Twelve Brothers appeared in Birds of Prey issues #81-#85. The stories have been included in the collection Birds of Prey:The Battle Within. Also, fwiw the Brothers' half-sister White Canary appears in Birds of Prey volume 2, issues #1-6.

Brian Bendis is at this moment writing a scene where Pisces says, "Well, I'm actually a Capricorn, but they already had a Capricorn, ..." Back when it was a catch-phrase for a couple years, all the Zodiac members would get pissed off whenever anyone at the supervillain bar would ask them "Hey, what's your sign, man?"
