For those Usagi fans who are interested (I am not the seller here for clarification) I saw a copy of Albedo #2 included in this month's auction at Lonestar... Albedo #2bidding ends tomorrow night (currently at $735 with 26 bid s in) I know this one can be hard to find, but don't know what the going price for it is, so not sure if this is already overpriced or a bargain, just thought I would give a heads up for those here who might be looking to get a copy of this for themselves. -M

I am so glad I got my Albedo #2 before the prices shot up a decade back. It's got to be one of the rarest key issues out there today since there were so few copies printed (2,000, right?) AND most were given away for free. Imagine how many of those ended up getting discarded/thrown out.
And if you can find a 9.8 or a 10.0 -- wow. It's nearly impossible because the black on the spine almost aways shows some imperfections (as in the case above)

Mine is in better condition than that!! Maybe I should sell it in order to fund some Saga edition hardcovers and a few more commissioned pieces from Stan...

When I stopped in at Bookery Fantasy in Fairborn, OH today to raid their bargain vault (40K $1 comics) I checked out their feature book room and they had a 9.6 CGC Albedo #2 in the showcase asking $1495. No way I could ever afford something like that, but it is interesting to see one out in the wild so to speak up for sale .

I'm not a believer in CGC grading, but this is one instance where there is a huge scarcity difference between a 9.2 and a 9.6.

That's also one of the coolest Usagi covers. I loved that image since I was a kid and back then I thought the comic was so far out of my price range. Should have saved up some allowance and grabbed one in the 90's
