Holy #@!$ do I LOVE this idea but the realist in me agrees that it'll never happen.../sigh SEE. SOMEONE LIKES MY IDEA. HIGH FIVE! I haven't liked a live action DC Comics movie since 1989's Batman. I don't like The New Gods. I guess this is a WIN-WIN. SEE, I help again! If I was a bean-counter at WB, I'd rather they bankroll profitable franchises (like Batman) instead of green-light another Jonah Hex, or Green Lantern, which is just squandering a budget. The two most bankable characters in DC are Batman & Superman...use them....oh wait, they are doing that. From she who is willing to give Ben Affleck a chance... Much as I get the benefits of this for short-term business, I think it's damaging, or at most status-quo-maintaining for the long term. Superman and Batman did not start out as uber-bankable characters and needed big company pushes to eventually reach that status. Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America were at most well-known names before but were unproven commodities in other media. The Walking Dead came out of nowhere and took the world by storm. You can keep falling back on what you have, as a company, but growth comes from places other than what you don't have. It's a higher risk, to be sure, which, again, is why I get the short-term view of it. I just don't agree with it, especially from WB, which has a larger catalog of source material than just about anything else out there. Having said that, I'm fairly certain Ben Affleck will be my favorite Batman ever since Adam West.

I like Darkseid and Mr. Miracle is ok, but I can live without the rest. From what I've read so far, you and I aren't going to be on very many teams together so enjoy this very brief moment. Darkseid and Miracle are where my interest ends too. so we are to be enemies then... The only thing worse than New Gods is Norse Gods. Thor, Loki, Odin and the rest suck more than a Backstreet Boys concert in the center of a black hole.

I'd like to see a Swamp Thing movie based on Alan Moore's take on the character.

I LOVE the New Gods idea and would pee myself if we ever had any New Gods.
Doom Patrol (Morrison) could be so incredibly cool, bizarre, and kinda like X-Men but different.
Dial H is a no-brainer too.

I think it's a shame that DC haven't expanded their animated film universe. There are literally dozens of properties that could make for excellent straight to DVD movies, New Gods included. I would love to see Green Arrow Longbow Hunters and Year One adapted into animated films along with the Doom Patrol, Plastic Man, Metal Men, Black Lightning, Kamandi, Animal Man, the Legion of Super-Heroes, Amethyst, etc, etc. Granted a lot of this stuff has been animated before in either the Justice League series or DC Nation shorts or whatever.

It's not enough. We need full series! The Legion cartoon got cancelled just as it was getting good

New Gods is be something they can make dark and violent(which fits their mold to a T) but I'd like to see them go the other way and use the LoSH, fat chance on that I know.

I think at this point, New Gods would come off to the general public as a Thor rip off

I think at this point, New Gods would come off to the general public as a Thor rip off There are two Hercules movies out this year and a handful of actual Thor ripoffs in the past few years. Hollywood tends to be a go-with-what-works industry anyway. I think New Gods is different enough that the general public would see the similarities but also appreciate the differences.

Ha right, they'd go nuts for Black Racer

Of course you know with WB in control, Orion would be dressed in black, Barda a sex slave, and Granny Goodness played by Megan Fox
