Sorry guys, I have been out of town all day. I'll have the new one up shortly. Out of town busting crime.

A couple of covers I was thinking of didn't show up...so I'm posting 'em now. This one is like a Bizarro cousin of Adventure #350 (which was posted). Here, it's perennial crybaby Superboy who's giving his old pals the brush off.

I love Sekowsky and I love this cover. I know it's a standard or stock pose, stock facial expressions, etc. but that 1992 Death of Superman cover has always reminded me of this 1968 cover.

I can see why, Farrar. The Giordano inks give the portrait a nice polished look. (Classic "broken/sprained wrist" Sekowsky hand there on Steve Trevor in the foreground.)

My favourite Pretenders song, even though it's actually a cover of a Kinks song.

Ha--yes, very true, Prince Hal. I know Steve didn't figure into the new editorial team's vision for the WW book, but I always liked how Sekowsky and Giordano drew him in those few issues back then.

Ha, but Steve was dead anyway. Yeah, they killed him off a mere 3 issues into the new regime. As the editor famously wrote in a lettercol back then: "Steve...was just too dumb and boring."

I have that first TPB of that run. It was very enjoyable in a 60's slang sort of way.
