My thing is, if you impose this kind of draconian rule, I'll probably never come back to this site again. Why are you trying to absolutely ruin a fun contest? EDIT: Looks like this was resolved already. Sorry, moving on. Sometimes I go too far, I admit this. Keeping the contest fun is the important thing. That's the spirit

My entry: Welcome, coldwater! Nothing like a Nick Cardy gem to get your feet wet. Why is the guy wearing hair-pants, though? "It was the style at the time, like wearing an onion on your belt!"

That's the spirit If people can refrain from commenting (and especially quoting) during the voting period, that will still be appreciated. Just to clarify: do you mean refrain from commenting just here during the voting period, or everywhere? Because that could be tricky. I mean, I sometimes need to go to the local shop on a Tuesday, and if Mr. Patel says good morning to me, it's going to seem rather rude if I can't speak to him, 'cause he doesn't know about this contest...

At a minimum, I would appreciate it if people could refrain from commenting in this thread during the voting period. Any more than that, I leave to people's completest tendencies.

Nearly posted that Promethea myself.
That entire series was all kinds of awesome.

COIE #7 is one of my all-time favourite covers, so I gotta vote for tingrametro.
