This chapter has one of my favorite panels drawn by Stan. The Aki-Onna as she burts forth from the cage after Usagi sets her free with the leaves billowing and smothering her captor. You can feel the fear and see the details so clearly of these leaves from the heavily inked foreground attacking leaves to the thinner inked softly floating leaves of the background. This panel just grabs me and i can see in my mind all of the browns and greens and reds and yellows of autumn.

It's been months since I re-read that story last, and yet I can see the panel you're describing in my head vividly.

Usagi was being published as a color book at the time, and that Aki-Onna story was written with color in mind. Japan is known for its fall colors, and I wanted to highlight it here.

And such is your artistic skill that having only seen this in black and white i still "see" the beautiful fall colors coming through. Thank you sir!
