Juuuuuust got it out of the library. (I've had it on hold for months. It was in "REPAIR" for a long time.)
This is really, really good. Definitely top three on my list of recent Marvel Live Action Things. It works as both a period sit-com and an adventure show, the plotting is signifcantly complex with everyone-out-for-their-own-agenda (which is hard to do in a two hour movie!) Soundtrack is awesome...
I've heard bad things (and never watched) Agents of SHIELD, but Agent Carter - well, the first two episodes - is just delightful.

I watch Agent Carter as well, and agree with your opinion, it's good stuff.
As for Agents of SHIELD, it started very (very) bad, but improved a lot after the Winter Soldier tie-in episode (at roughly half of the first season). The second season was really good in my opinion, with a really great finale.

Agent Carter, what good about it?
1) Good plot and counter-plot, they show it in 2 hours blocks at a time like a Movie.
2) Great Period Costumes
3) Old Fashioned sets, decor, and period pieces too
4) Hayley Atwell is doing a terrific job as Agent Carter
5) Good Casting and I highly recommended it.
6) James D'Arcy as Edwin Jarvis was a surprise to me.
7) Bridget Regan as Dottie Underwood is another surprise to me.
8) Action Filled and Drama

And it's like the only recent comic thing to not be on Netflix yet.
I've waited and waited and may just break down and buy the blu-ray or something.

I'm a lot more interested in a Golden Age-era story - which could potentially guest star the Liberty Legion or the original Black Widow or (please, God, please) the Fighting Hobo- featuring characters that I have read about in the comics than... whatever Agents of SHILED is. No Nick Fury? No Dum Dum Dugan? NO JASPER SITWELL! Pshaw!

Well, they sort of had a Golden Age Black Widow. Just not the right one! But they did have the Howling Commandos, Herbie the Fat Little Nothing, and the villains from Grant Morrison's Batman run! So that was nice.
I would love a Howling Commandos spin-off.
Hey, who was the dude in the prison cell at the very end?
