So I decided to go ahead and give the show a chance... it's SO different from the comic (really it just keeps the names) its not so bad.. it kinda feels like a dark version of Psych, to be honest. It's not so much a police procedural as a character study. I'm about 7 episodes in, and while I've liked it so far, I fear its' going to go down the 'everything is connected' road that gets really annoying sometimes.

I thought it skipped a beat during season 3 when the PTB tried to return to the original Lucifer-Decker dynamics, but the final few episodes made up for it. Not the greatest show ever, objectively speaking, but a very enjoyable one when the characters grow on us; a little as in ST:DS9, the supporting cast is a lot of fun. it remains a personal favourite. I look forward to the new Netflix episodes!

Just finished season 2... it came very close to jumping the shark during season 2, but I'm still enjoying it enough to keep watching.

Netflix having saved the series, I’m now four episodes into season 4. The addition of Eve as Lucifer’s first love brings a whole new angle to the series!
So glad we get the chance to extend series that have a devout core audience but not sufficient ratings for the major networks.

The series finale provides a satisfying conclusion to the four seasons. The door is left open for a fifth, I suppose, but as with Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD, it would make perfect sense for Lucifer to end with that episode.
Some questions are left unanswered, but not in a frustrating way. The important is that the character arcs were all brought to a proper conclusion, and that none of them were short-changed by the approaching ending.
I’ll miss those characters, but I’d rather see the series end on a high note than be artificially extended.

And now we get a fifth and final season, as Netflix brings it to a end.
