Looks like Marvel is starting a new reprint program to get people to sample their new All New All Different books and using the TImely name as the imprint. These books will feature reprints of the first 3 issues of these series for only $3. 3 issue $3, now all of you paying $4 a pop for these fell great don't you. BC articleor if you prefer.. CBR articlePersonally I think these could be great if they get them in places outside the direct market-grocery stores, Wal*Mart, etc-a great low price impulse buy kind of product to introduce readers to stories and given them a big chunk of story too. Here's the 15 or so titles planned so far... -M

I could be tempted to try one or two at that price.

If I'm ever in the mood for Marvel super-heroes I just get a tradebook out of the library and get it for free. The last time I did that was for Dan Slott's Silver Surfer volumes 1 & 2 which reprinted the first 10 issues
Let me rephrase that, its were I get all my comic material reading these days

I still buy comics (although I get stuff out of the library more) and I'm a value consumer. So I'll probably get some of these. Doctor Strange especially.

I'd probably check out one of those at that price. I wonder if they'll go digital at that price.

That would be awesome to get those on newstands at grocery stores and/or Target and Walmart. I'm sure they'd sell at that price point.

I will try Dr Strange. I think it's a good idea to use the Timely name. It is a nice way of showing long term readers that Marvel still remembers it's history.

I wonder how much of the new audience they're trying to grab actually knows what Timely Comics is or would care.

Most will have no idea, but a few of us like seeing the name

Most will have no idea, but a few of us like seeing the name Eh, I would have liked seeing the name better if it was put to good use, like perhaps an imprint focusing on forgotten war time characters or an alternate version of the Marvel Universe set in the 1940's/50's.

Oh yeah, I totally agree with you.
Since there aren't any more WW II comics except for the occasional rarity, you could use the Timely imprint for a throw back Invaders, All-Winners Squad, Nick Fury and his Howling Commandos imprint.
Totally agree.
Someone get Dan Bailey on this right away

I'd figure to setup a different inprint means to use a different mode of distribution.
I think Marvel missing an opportunity with the black and white Essentials being stopped considering the whole adult coloring fad going on. I'd think those for reading and fun would be popular sold b coloring books and the like.
