The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck touched me in a way I never expected any story about a duck to do so. I write about it here. Who read it, and if so, what did you think? Also, why do you think that other funny animal licensed characters never got the kind of creative burst or attention that the ducks did? You'd think someone from, say, Merrie Melodies would have looked at what Barks was doing and think, "Hey, that, we gotta do that."

When we voted for our Top 100 Comic Sagas back at the old boards, I had this in my Top 10. It's pure genius.

When we voted for our Top 100 Comic Sagas back at the old boards, I had this in my Top 10. It's pure genius. I voted for it as number 1 when CBR was doing it a while back. Not because it's my personal number 1, I just wanted it to have maximum points because it deserves to be on these lists.

It made my Top 5 when we did our list, I believe.
I'm still re-reading it with my six year old. And I also bought the soundtrack that was released earlier this year.
