But Grimes can stay on our yard. As can Neil Young and Joni Mitchell. hahaha, but your yard is in the UK, Confessor. Aren't we talking about US soiled yards? But, yes, those two can stay on our yards, too.

Which 8 are you missing? Just curious. I've been in, I think, 23. Texas Oklahoma Louisiana Mississippi Alabama Georgia Minnesota Wisconsin I will hit both Oklahoma and Texas in 2017. I will visit both Minnesota and Wisconsin in 2019. The remaining four in the South sometimes before 2024. All 50 States before 2024. When you get to Wisconsin you have to have a beer, a bratwurst, and some fried cheese curds. No, seriously, it's the law. Don't let them try to tell you that you have to wear a cheesehead though. That's strictly optional.

Amateur hour. The Iowa State fair sells deep fried sticks of butter. The obvious follow-up to that is... why? Same reasons we do most things... because we can and because we're trying to top someone else.
Little known fact: Do you know what the most common last words are among the redneck population? "Hold my beer and watch this."

My parents are first-generation immigrants who brought me to the U.S. when I was a baby, so I have pretty personal reasons for being appreciative of America. Neither of my parents had a college education, or came from well-off families, but they managed to make their way here and build a pretty good life for us. They worked hard, started their own business, bought their own home, and managed to put their kids through college. I was able to attend what many consider to be the best public high school in the nation, as well as Ivy League for college and grad school, and now work for the same government whose immigration policies allowed us come here in the first place. I mention this last part not to call attention to myself, but because I think it highlights how far we were able to come in just one generation. I will always be thankful that the U.S. is a place that provided that kind of opportunity for us.
And while I appreciate that people have different views regarding U.S. foreign policy, the fact is that if the U.S. had had more of a non-interventionist stance in the earlier part of the 20th century, there's a very real possibility that I would not be here -- either in the U.S., or elsewhere on this planet.
And on a lighter note, how can I forget all the great things America has given the rest of the world?
blues, jazz, hip-hop, and rock n roll smoked ribs, brisket, and pulled pork fried chicken basketball chocolate chip cookies Hollywood the transistor
And of course, this being a comic board, I would be remiss if I did not mention superheroes.

You have no need to be anything but proud of what you and your family have accomplished, Randle. I would say, however, that intervening, which more than implies an event of temporary duration, as for example the two world wars, is far different from empire-building and colonizing less powerful states, as we did in the Philippines in the early 1900s, and overthrowing another nation's freely elected government, as we did in Iran in the early 50s and Chile in the 70s. Otherwise, we're cool.

People speak the same language and dialect as me, mostly.
The weather.
Access to international cuisine.
Car culture.
Comic books.
Movies.
And finally, things could be worse. Been a while since we had a public execution or civil war.

And then there's that little matter of the Viet Nam war, a small event that kind of shaped the modern world and the USA for the past 50 years...
