It's panel lay out certainly seems influenced by Williams but it's by Babs Tarr. I've liked her work ever since she took over art on Batgirl but this is seriously some of the best work she's done to date.

Babs Tarr is a fine and refreshng new talent, but so is James Harvey, the one actually responsible for that page. His Masreplasty comic from a couple of years back was an absolute marvel : He also contributed and edited the very cool Bartkira Now I see he drew an issue of We Are Robin that completely escaped me... I really think we have found ourselves an upcoming superstar....

The book missed the mark for me, but that issue was great.

... artwork Simply gorgerous! Nice. Reminds me of a Hawaiian earring. It's a cool example of how the topology or geometry you impose on a shape matters as much as the underlying shape itself. You imagine two sets of rules, one where you are allowed to hop from one ring to the next and another where you have to stay on the ring, so getting from one to the next means walking around to the common point at the bottom in order transfer. And you get two vastly different mathematical objects with very different notions of closeness with the same underlying shape.

I had a lunch with a dear friend of mine and he actually have an extra copy of this book - I read this book (actually it was on loan) and I was very impressed by the artwork 1st and then the story itself. I'm a big fan of this Batgirl Comic and I was very happy to own a printed version of this book.

Just read it today and really enjoyed it. I've been off Batgirl since before it was "batgirl'd" so I haven't really been up on all that led up to this issue but I was able to slide right in and follow the story without feeling los and I like when I can just jump onto a book like that since writing comics that way has been a lost art for the last 15 years or so. (at least that's how it seems to me.)
