True. It seems to be they keep Code Red, Voltage and regular around all the time, and cycle all the others (Live Wire, White Out, Game Fuel, Baja Blast etc).. though it's been a while for Pitch Black.

I don't drink... Tried it in college, didn't like it, don't really get why people do, to be honest. Don't like coffee, either. I stick to Mountain Dew (preferably Voltage) Whereas I don't get your dislike. Which may be a product of your not saying why you dislike it. I absolutely understand people who have an adverse reaction to alcohol, people who can't drink for medical reasons and people who have had alcohol adversely effect their lives. I can even...kinda...sorta...maybe...see a religious aversion...to the extent I try to live and let live with religion. But a blanket, I don't like alcohol without anything else doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Bourbon does not taste like Gin does not taste like Vodka does not taste like beer does not...etc. Even the effects are not consistent between distilled, brewed and fermented beverages. Not trying to single you out...but I have this thought every time I see someone say "I don't like alcohol." My only thought can be...what alcohol...because haven't really given me any information.

I'm not a fan of alcohol either. Drank a bunch as a teen. Might have a rare beer or wine now but only if it's offered to me and would never get one on my own impetus. The dizzying effect is just not for me. It's not my type of high. Pot has always been much more to my liking. I'll take that every day in the week instead of booze. And I have. Alcohol makes me feel stupid and sleepy. Pot stimulates my senses and appreciate music, movies, reading etc. I can have a better conversation with someone on pot rather than slurring my words on booze

My reasons for not liking alcohol are pretty simple. One, it's a poison, and it tastes like it. Every bit of it I've ever tasted, including many, many, things people say 'you don't even taste the alcohol', I do. Alot. It's gross, IMO. I've had tons of people say 'but I'm sure you'd like 'x'.. it all tastes like poison to me. Two, I have absolutely no desire to do something that causes me to not function correctly. I got drunk exactly once in college, and it scared the ever living crap out of me.. I never wish to do it again.

Bought some Land's End Amber Ale at the store. Pretty tasty. Smooth not harsh. Nice bit of bitter but not overpowering. Picked a 6 pack up for $4.95.

Just a reminder to everyone here ... I have been sober for more than 25 years and haven't had a drink since then why ... any drink that contains alcohol gives me a very terrible headache for 1 or 2 days and it's not a pleasant thing to have these days. My body just can't handle it at all.

I see that the soft drinks thread has gotten into discussions on alcohol so I thought it would be prudent to revive this thread if anyone was interested. Personally, I love beer, particularly Blue Moon and Sweetwater on the domestic end and Singha on the international end. I've never been able to get into hard liquor though, even if paired with a strong chaser.

I've been on a Rolling Rock kick her lately. I might go by the liquor store. But since I have to pick up meds and some new clothes for the kids at Walmart, I'll probably just buy more Rolling Rock while I am there.
I did buy me a 6 pack of Amber Bock last night when I had to stop at the grocery store.
It's annoying our liquor laws are what they are. But after a long day of work the last thing I want to do is make multiple stops before I have to get home.

Amber Bock, Porter, Guinness and Stout. YUMMMMMMY Rich Darkness for the soul. Mostly i am a social drinker when out to eat with friends. Don't usually keep beer around the house unless i am on vacation. I do keep around some Spiced Rum's, (Captain Morgan always in the shelf) a bottle of aged Scotch, some Jack Daniels and a bit of Brandy. At Christmas time i will hit a Wine store and choose a bottle or two of wine, preferring the Red's or Pinoit Noir and occasionally a nice Chardonay and will drink those during the fall/winter.
Summertime is for homemade wine coolers, homemade Sangria and Hard Cider's to keep cool with.

I think I'm gonna treat myself to some Brother Thelonius this weekend. It's been a long time since I've had it but I think I can justify a bottle: m.imgur.com/a/NsD5t

I've never tried any stouts before. I'm very much a lager guy, but I've been trying to expand my tastes. Where should I start?

My tastes have changed over the years. I like red wine or if I am having beer I enjoy Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Einstok Icelandic Ale, and the old standby Miller Lite.
