Phonogram 3, most likely, even though I haven't read volume 2 yet.
Very tempted by the Crepax Horror anthology thing but the price will probably prevent me from buying it.
Might get the new Heavy Metal issue- is this the first of Morrison's editorship?
Waiting for Ellis's Bond story to be collected.

He takes over with issue #280. -M

International Iron Man #1... judith h christ! Stark is in Cambridge, where for some reason surrounded by West Ham fans (from the east end of London), singing their famous anthem and getting the £@#&ing words wrong, whereupon he walks round the corner and is suddenly in London, on the banks of the Thames, opposite the Houses of Parliament, 60+ miles away from Cambridge. WTF? I don't know whether it's Bendis at fault, or the artist, but it's complete lazy careless crap and I say to hell with it!

Does East Ham have a soccer team? Does East Ham taste better than West Ham? I have no idea what their anthem is, but I hope it's better than "Sweet Caroline."

East Ham is, of course, east of West Ham and west of both Dagenham East and West Horndon. West Ham's stadium is (until the end of this season, when we're moving ground) actually located somewhat closer to East Ham than West Ham, but certainly nowhere near Cambridge*. The anthem is I'm forever blowing bubbles, with the key point being that said bubbles nearly (but not actually) reach the sky (and like my dreams, they fade and die), which is pretty fundamentally aligned to the weary world-view of us West Ham fans, as we've won sod-all for 36 years, and basically expect to always have our hopes dashed at the last minute (or, quite often, in the first few minutes) (* having now seen Bleeding Cool's comments on the same issue, and Bendis' reply that Stark was in student residences in London... I still say to hell with it - the idea what any idle toffs from Cambridge would commute 60+ miles to their lectures is just laughable)

Got nothing for myself this week. My LCS put International Iron Man in my box (Invincible Iron Man is on my pull list already), but I put it back, as I am not a huge Maleev fan. After getting Simon Garth's assessment of the geography issues with the book and the pathetic back-track about student housing, I'm glad I did not buy it.
Picked up both My Little Pony books this week for my girls. They were, of course, pleased tremendously to have new things to read this week.

Might get the new Heavy Metal issue- is this the first of Morrison's editorship? Waiting for Ellis's Bond story to be collected. Just finished Phonogram 3 (had some of it in singles, but missed a few, so got the collection as well.). I'd read Phonogram 2 first (not just because it's one of my favourite comics ever) as it introduces a few characters (Laura, Lloyd, Penny and Marc), who will they play minor roles (though Laura and Lloyd have several important parts to play in the B-plot of this). It also shows Emily/Claire, though Phonogram 3 quickly makes it clear how that relationship works. Overall, still a very solid comic book and Phonogram is my favourite of the Gillen/McKelvie collaborations (why does that word have 2 L's? I'm gonna thrust my spell-check there, even though that doesn't make sense.) Still need to pick up Wicked+Divine though (read the first issue and the references to it in Sex Criminals), so that may be better.
