It is my favorite of the longer arcs within the Sandman series, so I gave it a 10, but there are standalone stories within the series I thing would rate higher than this, but sticking to whole numbers, SoM would be closer to a 10 than a 9, so it gets the 10.

No question a 10 from me, both for the story itself and the awesome world building that lead to the Lucifer series.

Let's not forget the art, Kelley Jones at his finest ever! 10, with nice payoffs to previous small visual clues throughout the arc.
