Another fun horror story and another amazing supporting character in Sasuké. I love that he's not just a regular warrior but a sorcerer who hunts monsters...and as odd as that sounds at first it doesn't stick out in the story one bit which is a true testament to the world Stan has built.

Sasuke is probably my favorite supporting character (although Gen might be tied with him). I love the "You must have told me earlier" running gag. The big spiders in this story are creepy. |

Although I'm not a great fan of Sasuke (nothing against him; there are just several others I prefer to read about), this is a creepy, well-crafted little story.

In my wildest dreams, a team-up with Dr. Strange. Ha! I see he has a following. I'm more of the Conan school where wizards are there to be cleaved from crown to chin or--in Usagi's world--reduced to a pile of feathers like Ryoko. A good guy wizard seems like he can solve tough problems too easily. Having said that, I was a big fan of Dr Strange back in the day. |

This was interesting. I liked the concept of Sasuke, and want to see him again, though would prefer Inspector Ishida more. But it's tough reading this when I'm too afraid to look at the pages. Too many spiders.

It's perhaps the one downside to the greatness of this being entirely creator done, we won't get any spin-offs. Though considering the mixed results we get with comics, perhaps it's a blessing in disguise. |

I don't like spiders to begin with so this one was extra creepy crawly for me. Though it was nice to see the evil spider-woman get eaten by the magical frog! Way to go! Death to the eight legged yuckie sticky spider types! As Usagi ventures through the shortcut and more spiders keep on appearing you just know that it is only going to get weirder and sure enough once he enters the village to be woken with a bite from yet another spider the shivers really begin. A Sasuke the Night Stalker of Japan in search of all the evil nasty monsters would make for a fun series if Stan ever ends Usagi. So much horror in Japanese mythology and culture to explore.
