www.joblo.com/movie-news/mark-hamill-kevin-conroy-confirmed-for-animated-the-killing-joke-movie-795Mark Hamill & Kevin Conroy confirmed for animated The Killing Joke movie
Last summer, a rumor surfaced that Mark Hamill will be voicing The Joker once again in an animated feature film based on Alan Moore's "Batman: The Killing Joke," and the actor has confirmed to CBR that he will indeed be back as the Clown Prince of Crime. Kevin Conroy, who has voiced Batman in multiple animated movies, TV series, and video games, will also return as The Dark Knight, and other voice actors include Tara Strong as Barbara Gordon and Ray Wise as Commissioner Gordon. In a statement, Hamill said "The chance to work once again with Kevin Conroy, my favorite Batman, in what some consider the definitive origin of this iconic villain is a dream come true for me. I am beyond thrilled to return as The Joker in 'The Killing Joke!'" while Conroy added, "I’ve had the great privilege of voicing Batman for more than two decades, and some of my favorite moments in the recording booth have been alongside Mark Hamill. Mark always enables me to be a better actor. I’m thrilled that we’re both back to bring these characters to life in one of the most heralded Batman/Joker stories of all time." Hamill teased his involvement with the project yesterday in a series of tweets, and he also shared the first still from the movie. "The Killing Joke" is considered by many to be one of the most iconic (as well as controversial) Batman/Joker tales of all time, and as a huge fan of the graphic novel, I can't wait to see how the animated adaptation turns out. A release date hasn't been set yet for BATMAN: THE KILLING JOKE, but it will premiere at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con before arriving in stores this summer.

Can't wait either.
Any time I read a Batman/Joker comic, theirs are the voices I hear in my head for the characters.

See I'm still waiting for a new edition of all the Nolan Batman films with Bale's voice edited out and Conroy doing the voice acting edited in. Then I might actually be able to comprehend something Batman said for once in all 3 films and could enjoy them.
As for this animated film-love the casting but not excited at all to see Killing Joke made into an animated feature. It is not a story that has aged well for me even though I liked it a lot when released, and I probably will not ever get around to actually watching it.
