I've more or less taken a hiatus on games to work on other projects, but fired up Dragon Age Origins again and was sucked back in. I guess i wasn't over it, just needed a breather, haha. I do love that game, but man, it takes a while.
I've played all three of the Dragon Age games over 30 times! I am also ranked in the top 100 in the Dragon Age Inquisition Multi-Player. Although my heart belongs to the SP games but MP gives me something to do while I wait for DA4. I am sort of a Dragon Age nut! (see my signature lol)

I'm hoping to set up a gaming PC soon. Aside from a bit of Deus Ex and Star Wars Battlefront on a friend's ancient, shuddering PC, I've been a console gamer my whole life. I'm looking forward to finally playing some games that were only released on PC, especially Thief. Unless it is a different game I downloaded Thief on my 360 some months back during a Microsoft sale. Granted it's one of my above mentioned unplayed games, but I got it as I was under the impression it played like Dishonered.

I'm eager to see how well they hold up. A lot of people still consider the first two games to be the best stealth games ever made, and I love first-person stealth, so I hope I like them.

Beat The Witcher 1 yesterday. It's an interesting game. The world-building and decision-making were very good. The combat wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I was surprised how much the Wild Hunt factored in considering that's the title of the 3rd game. Also, the final boss(es) were much easier than the final boss of Chapter 5. Onto Witcher 2.

The best thing about the Witcher series is that you can see how much CD Project Red improves with each title they released (and how much aftercare they gave to each title). Witcher 1 was still very rough (mostly due to having to work with the Aurora Engine), so I hope you'll enjoy 2 and 3 even more.
I can also recommend the books the series is based upon.

One of these days I'm going to get around to playing the Witcher games. I have the third one, but I'm always daunted by the time commitment it would take to finish it.
I'm partway through reading the first Witcher book as well, although I'm taking a break from it while reading a different fantasy series.

'The Last Wish' is the first book, right? I think so.

Have you guys seen the news that Secret of Mana is being remade on the PS4? Here is some sample gameplay footage:
Seems to be that the remake looks like a game that could be played on the phone or Nintendo DS. So it's not going to be a remake like Final Fantasy VII. Still, it looks fun to me and I'm going to add it to the list of games I want to play down the road. I loved the original.

'The Last Wish' is the first book, right? It is, but it's a collection of short stories (the first few books are, the other books are one big story.)

I might get the Steam version, but I'd rather get the Mana collection if it ever comes west.

I'm through the prologue and in the middle of chapter 1 in the Witcher 2. They do a horrible job explaining the new controls. I had to exit the game and google how to do basic things like changing which quest is being tracked. And I got chased and killed by guards because I had no idea how to put my sword away after fighting some bandits. It'll probably get better as I get used to it, but it is really clunky and not user-friendly, and there's no way to even look at what buttons do what while you're playing, so the only option is either to press everything and hope you get lucky or quit the game altogether. Really a shame, because the improvements in graphics and storytelling are already very impressive (though the game looks like it was put through a Christopher Nolan filter).

That is strange but for someone like me who loves his Vita this looks like a perfect game to add to my game library on it.
