Just yeterday I went downtown to look around in the thrift store and I was surprised to see that they had bunch of old Playstation games in the shelf. The games were 2 bucks each and they were complete. So I bought MLB 2001, Madden 2004 for original Playstation, and two PSP games Pac Man Rally racing and Ape Escape On the Loose.
and what do you know which Im not surprised, the MLB 2001 game wont even play at all but at least the Madden game works just fine.
So now Ill be buying another copy of MLB 2001 off of amazon or ebay. Why MLB 2001 and not MLB 2002 or MLB 20o03?
Well I like previous older early 2000 sports games especially if its MLB where years ago back then I remember playing a demo of MLB on one of the old Offical Playstation Magazine demo discs.

at least the front lid of the game case for the non working MLB 2001 its in perfect shape so I added the front lid to my old Resient Evil Directors Cut Dual Shock game since the front game case lid for my Resident Evil it had a piecing piece to the front lid of the game case.
So I now have a new front lid whatever for my Resident Evil game case.
Now I need to concentrate on getting a "newer" in better shape working MLB 2001 game disc

Recently bought another pair of games that I've always wanted to own; Bugs Bunny Lost In Time & Simpsons Road Rage Unfortunately the only thing that they have going for them, to me at least is nostalgia as they're very shallow, but still incredibly charming games (much like Muppet Monster Adventure, Fourty Winks, Rayman 1, and Gex 1). Road Rage has Crazy Taxi beat as the non-Dreamcast console ports are god awful and hey, at least it isn't Simpsons' Wrestling, right?

Speaking of Simpsons Road Rage. My youngest brother when he had some fun Gameboy advance games back in 2004 and 2005, he had a Simpsons Road Rage gameboy advance game. I tried it and it was ok but I wouldnt mind having the Gamecube version of Simpsons Road Rage but I already have Simpsons Hit and Run anyway so why even bother trying to get Road Rage?

Have any of you played Detroit Become Human? I haven't yet, but I've been watching this guy play it (great person to watch play BTW as he doesn't have immature/annoying commentary and gameplay). This game looks so real, and it's interesting to see how games will look in just the next 10 to 15 years.
I've always been interested in the future of humanity as it pertains to potentially having artificial people in our everyday lives. So far this game has raised some interesting scenarios for the future that could be a reality one day. Also, the story here seems really interesting to me. It's basically a choose your own adventure/Telltale gaming style.

Just beat Super Mario Sunshine for the first time, and man do I remember now why I just stopped with it in 2005. I thought maybe I just found it too hard because I was a kid, like with a few other games, but Sunshine has major problems that really make the game just a chore to get through at times. The camera is atrocious, the controls are the worst of any 3d Mario and fall apart whenever Mario is in a narrow environment. For a supposedly 'open' game you have to get the first 7 shines of each world with no choice, and everything else is optional and pointless. Around a third of the game is fighting Shadow Mario over and over again.
There's a really good foundation here. Mario still has most of the moves from 64, and Fludd can compensate for some of the control problems. The water effects still look great. Some of the levels are actually really fun. But this game was so clearly rushed I can't believe it's a major first party Nintendo title. No way Nintendo would release a major 3D Mario game in such a state today. It could have been great if it had another 6 months development time at he minimum, but the product that was actually released is by far the worst 3D Mario ever made.
I'm gonna have to replay Super Mario Galaxy to get the terrible taste of Corona Mountain out of my mouth. Who the heck programmed that boat? How could Miyamoto let the game be released in such a state?

It looks amazing, and I am intrigued by the premise and the tech. That said... The first PS4 game I got is God of War, and let me just say...I had read that it was good. I heard it was good. I saw the hype. Oh, man. It is. SO. GOOD. It's immersive, the acting is great, the graphics are beautiful, and the story is very good. It's just top-notch. I wish I had a 4K HDR TV so I could really take advantage of it as I hear that is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend it to anyone with a PS4.

I never played any of the previous entries in the series. Will I be lost? I doubt it. It just provides some interesting background context based on what I've seen so far. Honestly, there was very little story content in the first few, so you could just read the plot summaries from Wikipedia and probably be fine. The plot was basically bullet points, so an actual bulleted list should be all you need.

{Spoiler: Click to show} - Kratos is a spartan who gave himself to Ares in return for power. - While under the influence of that power, he killed his wife and daughter. - Kratos then swears revenge against Ares, overthrows him and becomes the new God of War. - Kratos turns out to be a son of Zeus, who betrays him and after a long battle, Kratos kills his own father. - Athena, Kratos ally for a long time, finally betrays him and Kratos commits suicide to prevent her from gaining his power. (A post-credit seen shows that he survived and disappears).

I would only add one point of clarification. {Spoiler: Click to show} Kratos did not knowingly kill his wife and child. He was specifically deceived by Ares to not seeing it was them until it was too late. In case that was not clear.

Just saying, God of War continues to be amazing. The gameplay is fun, the graphics are dazzling, and the story is SO GOOD. Carry on.

Finally started playing Metal Gear Solid Ground Zeroes, the prelude to Metal Gear Solid V. Very fun so far, and very deep in terms of what you can do. Keifer Sutherland as Big Boss took a little while to get used to, but it seems okay now.
