BotW is indeed amazing. Enough I plan to buy it for the Switch even though I’ve got it on the Wii U. I have/had sunk so many hours into that game it’s shameful lol

Reminds me of how exciting the original was in that you feel like you can do anything, explore everywhere.

I couldn't imagine going back and playing again unless they add a lot more story or something.

So BotW is perfect for me. Plus I find it very therapudic after a long day because I can just chill and do whatever I want low key and nothing I do isn’t going to help me overall in the game. So for me it has a lot of replay values. Plus I’d like to play on a pro controller. The gamepad isn’t bad, but I’d much rather have a standard controller since BotW makes no use of the gamepad unlike Batman Arkham City.

I could see myself replaying it after I beat it, in the same way that many like to just casually tool around in the various grand theft auto games, or the Batman games I could see myself enjoying just riding my horse around casually enjoying the scenery every now and again...or climbing some mountain just because it was there and I could.

Maybe it's just me, then, because I do a lot of tooling around, exploring, etc, and by the time I complete the story I've usually had my fill. The Arkham games, for example, they feel kind of pointless to me after the story is done. But cool, glad you guys are getting your money's worth.

I am about to eat my words. I just finished the God of War main story, and I have no interest in stopping playing. Going to finish the side quests (but not 100% on the collectibles) and then restart in the games+ mode.

Onimusha Warlords is being remastered for the PS4.
From what I heard, Capcom even brought back the original voices back to redo the dialogue. I remember this dropped in 2001, and I was a freshman in high school I think. I'll never forget the commercial that would air on Adult Swim around that time. Sadly, I just never hopped on the train for this title. I should have though. Seems like something I would like. Will try to add it to the backlog when it's released next year.

Just finished the latest Tomb Raider, not quite as good as the 2013 version, but better than Rise of the Tomb Raider in my opinion.
I've also been playing the Council, an episodic adventure game in the style of Telltale or Life is Strange, but with more RPG elements. Set in the late 18th century, French investigator Louis de Richet travels to a small island for the British coast, home to the eccentric Lord Mortimer to investigate the disappearance of his mother, Sarah, a famous investigator herself. On the island, some of the most powerful and influential people (or their agents) are gathered to determine the future of the world. Louis has to find his mother, figure out what she came here to do, while navigating the web of lies and intrigues spun by the visitors to the island. The game has a limited cast (only 13 characters in total including Louis himself, not including the nameless servants of Mortimer that are all around to help their guests), a mixture of newly created characters like Louis and his mother and historical figures like George Washington and Napoleon Bonaparte. The limited cast allows you to learn more about each character and find out their various strengths and weaknesses. Louis can be 1 of 3 classes to start with: a diplomat, skilled in languages and politics, an occultist, skilled in manipulation and occult knowledge or a detective, skilled in logic and questioning (picking a class gives you points in 5 starting skills, but all classes can learn all skills, it just takes more effort to learn other skills). Using a skill usually requires effort and Louis has limited energy each day so you have to pick wisely whether you want to use your skills or not. There are items you can use to restore your energy or get other advantages during conversation. Basically you want to use your skills against characters that are weak against that particular skill and avoid using the skills they are strong against. Overall I'm really enjoying this series, more than the Telltale games I've played (excluding Tales of the Borderlands which remains my favourite), the RPG elements add a lot to it. The art-style will take a lot of getting used to, I guess: some of the characters look normal, others less so.

I really liked Tomb Raider pretty much through and through (I never played any of the older TR games) and thought how are they going to top this with the sequel? Well RofTR did it. While I think the story itself was largely lacking in comparison to TR, I thought the changes to upgrading weapons and skills so so much better than TR in hindsight. Not that TR's system was bad, just that RofTR improved so much on it.
If I am in the mood for an immersive story and to be entertained, TR is the way to go. If I am just in the mood for kickass gameplay and an absolute wonderful upgrade system, I'll go with RofTR.
Hopefully SofTR will improve on both.
Though I have to say fighting bears was pretty ***king nerve racking lol

I still have yet to play the first one even though I own it. I played the demo, bought the game, and now for some reason (and other distractions) I haven't started it yet.
