I relate to this topic, but I'm embarrassed to admit that when I was younger, my records were my comics :

Man of Steel, Action Comics 1, Superman Story, Superman For All Seasons, Morrisons Nu52 Action Comics run, Birthright, Secret Origins...whenever I read a Superman origin, at some point I hear the Williams theme in my head.

I stopped reading Superman: Earth One Vol. 1 to go and grab my Ipod to actually play the theme at the right time for one of the story beats.

This happens to me a lot, but I couldn't tell you which songs or comics. I'd have to hear the song to have the flashback triggered.

Wow, that's impressive, thanks for the link. For some reason, I associate the music of Luscious Jackson with L&R too. They may not be straight up punk, but their alternative rock roots, their attitude, I sometimes think that's how Hopey would sound singing, a little like Gabby Glaser.

I think I'm right in saying that early issues of Tank Girl actually featured a list of songs to listen to as you read the comic. This "soundtrack" was printed on the opening page of each issue, along with the writer/penciller/inker/colourist credits.

That reminds me of when The Mad Peck included mix tape recipes in his record review comics in (I think) CREEM. Some record companies were unhappy and I think Zappa sent a C&D letter.
