...and now close to a hundred dead and hundreds of wounded in a park in Pakistan. Children murdered by gutless cowards who loudly proclaim their intention to kill as many people as necessary until their dream of an intolerant and repressive society becomes real. It almost make me wish I was religious so I could take comfort in knowing these monsters are going to burn in hell for all eternity. A Pakistani father said " nobody should have to bury their son". I think there is no sadder reality than that of a parent losing their child. What ideology can be worth that? Don't fanatics have families, too? (Bolding was my doing for response) Trust me, it's a small comfort as long as these murders are loose to cause more deaths, pain, and suffering in tribute to their warped beliefs. And meanwhile Muslims all over the world once again have to try to explain that this is not what Islam is really about. Maddening. Not only that, but... Muslims are the most frequent victims of these madmen! So not only are ordinary muslims being killed, but they must also suffer the indignity of being conflated with their own murderers. As you say : maddening. No ideology should ever trump the golden rule. It's just common sense!!! |
