I love the panel showing Dr Takenoko's workshop. The Nilson and Hermy wind-up toys are cool, and a neat cameo.

Nilson and Hermy is one of my all-time favorites. In terms of pure fun, there's no better comic out there. I'd like to see Stan return to it someday.

This was a fun little story, I have to ask tough, is this the same doctor who develops the steam turtle and Usagi Gundam in Senso?

I thought so, he was the only character in Senso I didn't recognize but what was great was that there was enough introduction so that it didn't matter. Does he appear more often or just here and Senso?

Here we have a nice fun(ny) adventure for Usagi (and us) to enjoy. Perhaps nothing more than a minor distraction of some humorous proportions in the travels of Usagi, yet here he still shows a caring and understanding for the individual and dreams/hopes of individuality. Wouldn't the world be a better place if we all acted as Usagi Yojimbo rather than many who act as the villains of this story in bullying and making fun of those who dreams and aspirations are beyond our own? And a room full of toys and inventions to play with! A nerd before there was such a word as nerd
