Published: January, 2005 Synopsis: In this issue, two short stories catch up with a pair of the series' most beloved characters. In the first, warrior Tomoe is on a hunting excursion with Lord Noriyuki when she stumbles into a battle-a battle fought fifty years ago!-wherein her clan was decidedly beaten. If she manages to stay alive, how will she return to the present? The second story features a figure not seen since the adventure of Grasscutter II...Priest Sanshobo!

The first story with Tomoe was good, always love seeing her get more character work but for my money the main event was Priest Sanshobo. Ever since Grasscutter he's been one of my favorite supporting characters so it was awesome to see more of him here. I loved how compassionate he was towards the young priest, and then how quickly he sprung into action chasing down the ghost; I just love that duality.

A pair of "Ghost Stories" exploring other characters is always a spectacular way to enjoy Stan's work. He gets to draw strange and different ideas while providing more substance to Usagi's world. I for one do NOT want cross the mists of time and space or confront a lover's ghost. But they are fun to read about!
