Mezco's One:12 Collective is a line of highly detailed, 6 inch figures with cloth costumes and clothing. They've often been described as Hot Toys quality at a 6 inch scale. This line has me more excited than... really, any other figures, ever. So far, there have only been three released figures (plus variants): Dark Knight Returns Batman (there are lots of variants for this guy: Black costume, light blue costume with yellow oval symbol, dark blue cape with no oval symbol, dark blue with yellow oval symbol, black and white color scheme, battle damaged light blue without oval symbol; the wide variety is because many of these were exclusives for events or retailers), Judge Dredd (standard black uniform, navy blue uniform, black and white, and metallic blue uniform with cloak and shotgun; Lawmaster bike is out soon), and the Mutant Leader from DKR (who has a standard figure and a slightly different one that came in a two-pack with the battle damaged Batman). There are several other figures up for pre-order now. More and more have been unveiled at conventions, from a wide variety of licenses (here's a link to some neat pictures of the figures at Toy Fair: Link). I'd heard lots of fans praise this line's attention to detail, incredible articulation, and flawless construction. So, I used a gift card a few weeks ago to pick up the light blue DKR Batman. Wow. It is easily the best figure I own. Everything about it works so well! I was surprised at how sturdy it was, too; it can stand up to a lot of posing, and I don't have to worry about it breaking. I'm completely rethinking the way I collect thanks to this line. I will probably stop collecting almost everything else (except maybe the occasional Diamond Select figure if it has a nice diorama base). These seriously are really, really cool, and I highly recommend them. I won't be purchasing them too often, but I think these figures will be a much more satisfying way to collect for me. I'd rather have a few figures I really, really like than a bunch of mediocre ones. Any thoughts?

I just loved the Space Ghost Figure! ... They are so different and a little more realistic looking too!

I think I'm most excited about a few of the upcoming Marvel releases, especially Daredevil (I like the red suit best, but the yellow one is neat too), the modern Captain America, and the Punisher (can't decide which one I like best!). I also like the upcoming Star Trek figures, especially Spock. I think the Superman figure still needs some work, but I'm confident it will look better by release time. I wonder why Mezco is using a different material for Superman's costume rather than the one they used for Batman.

wow, I love the Frankenstein one: I think the black and white version of Frankenstein went up for pre-order a few days ago. I really hope we see a Dracula in this line.

The Black and White one looked nice, but the facial expression on the one I posted above looks better to me, but both are awesome. I'm a huge Frankenstein fan( I practically had a shrine to that awesome monster back in my bedroom at my parents house growing up) and although I'm not big into figures I'd snag this one if I saw it.

I would guess both figures will have the same expressions, but with changeable heads. Dracula is probably my favorite monster, but I like Frankenstein a lot. I'm not sure whether a Dracula figure in this line will be made or not, as I've heard the likeness rights can be hard to get. I would actually love to see a mustachioed Dracula figure like he was in the book, but I can't imagine that's likely to happen. Either Frankenstein or Dracula would go great with a Hellboy display. I've been holding off on pre-ordering any of these, as I'm waiting to see what variants of each ones will be announced, in case I end up liking the variants better. The Previews Exclusive Judge Dredd came with a few accessories that weren't included with the standard version, so I'm going to wait and see. I'd love to see a figure of the Shadow in this line. I think he would be a great character for this format.

That's precisely what I'd do with it if I got it, though my Mezco movie Hellboy figure is 1:4 scale, and the one I got from the Hellboy Animated movies is I think 1:10 or 1:9 so I guess in the end they wouldn't look that great together...but I still want one!

It would be awesome if Mezco ever made Hellboy figures in the One:12 line. I don't think it's likely (and, even if it did happen, Lobster Johnson probably wouldn't be made), but a comic Hellboy figure like this would be so cool.

Mezco has released a bit more information about Green Arrow: Link. Interesting design. I'm not much of a Green Arrow fan, but this looks like a neat figure so far.

If Dracula does end up being excluded from this line, how about a Count Orlok (Nosferatu) vampire figure? He's not as popular as Dracula, but he does have a great creepy design and would look cool in this scale.

The Flash went up for pre-order a few days ago here. Spock will apparently be out in a few weeks (I'm waiting to see if "Mirror, Mirror" Spock will be a variant). I love all the superhero and Star Trek stuff shown so far, but I think I'm looking forward to the Universal Monsters most. The more I see of the Frankenstein figure, the more I like it. I'd love to see a wide variety of classic film monsters, but I'd be perfectly satisfied with just Frank and Dracula. As far as I know, there has never really been a well articulated, high quality 6" scale figure of either one (Diamond Select released both a few years ago, but they had very little articulation). Edit: I would also love to see Mezco make some high quality diorama backdrops for the Universal monsters. I've heard that the Gotham junkyard diorama base that was with the SDCC Batman/Mutant Leader set was really well-done, so I'm confident they would do a good job. How about a Dr Frankenstein lab and a room in Dracula's castle?

I've been debating on acquiring the Daredevil figure (the red suit although the yellow suit and the Shadowland variant look great as well).
But the Shazam figure looks terrific as well and now there's Flash...with tornado hands! I'm not sure my wallet can afford all this goodness.
