We have a thread about all the Classic TV shows everyone loves. What about modern shows? What's everyone's favorite shows after 1990.
Breaking Bad-my favorite of all time the Wire South Park-it warped my young impressionable mind Seinfeld Curb Your Enthusiasm Deadwood Rome Sopranos-it doesn't hold up well at all in my opinion Oz ER-I haven't watched it since it was airing but I used to watch this all the time Archer It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia

Nice to see so many Archer fans here. I get nothing but blank looks from my co-workers when I mention that show. They never miss an episode of The Biggest Loser, tho.

I don't watch much TV. In fact, we purposefully do not have cable in the house (though we do have Netflix). As a result, my wife and I generally get into one show at a time.
We don't watch much, but here's what I've loved:
Breaking Bad (brilliantly artistic -- higher production qualities than you find in most films, and the attention to detail and symbolism blows me away, as well as the phenomenal acting)
Parks and Recreation (I am currently obsessed and can't get enough)
The Office (I've watched each episode at least six times and randomly quote lines from memory)
South Park (genius -- true genius)
Scrubs (until the really lousy relaunch)
How I Met Your Mother (up to season 7. After that, meh)

Baywatch Nights Series 2 including such classic episodes as
The Mobius: Mitch, Ryan, and an old friend of Ryan's are transported to a possible future world.
Zargtha: A dangerous wolf like creature flees from Yugoslavia and begins hunting and killing teenagers.
The Eighth Seal: After saving a young girl from killing herself, Mitch soon learns there's more to her story than meets the eye....and becomes involved with the plans of a sea demon.

Other than a very occasional season rental from Netflix, I haven't watched TV in about a decade (no cable since early 2005, or for that matter from 1990-2001).
Otherwise:
X-Files Buffy the Vampire Slayer Homicide: Life on the Streets Law & Order American Gothic Rizzoli & Isles Haven Wonderfalls New Outer Limits Keen Eddie Invasion Threshold Nowhere Man Relativity Get Real Freaks & Geeks Eerie, Indiana
No doubt several others aren't coming to mind right now. A few contenders, like Felicity & Gilmore Girls & American Dreams & Dawson's Creek, I lost track of at least a couple of seasons before they ended (earlier than that for GG), so I can't really evaulate them till I remedy that situation. I need to do the same with the second/final seasons of Popular & Joan of Arcadia.
WIth a few notable exceptions, obviously TV shows I like tend to meet the same fate as comics I like -- an early demise.

Out of curiosity, was there anyone here who was satisfied with the How I Met Your Mother series finale?
