years ago there was the Black Hole comic book short series.
It was kind of weird about high schoolers that turned into odd mutants after an STD outbreak. I never saw it anywhere but just wondering if anyone here ever read the series?

If it's the series by Charles Burns, several here have sung its praises in our 12 Days of Christmas events and best of threads over the years. -M

Yes it is the series that I just said in my first post.
Anyone actually read it? Is it really that weird with the STD changing the students into odd mutants or whatever?

It was featured prominently in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. I've never read it, myself.

By the way, any objections to my moving this into the classic comics section?

I remember how annoying it was having to wade through these comics on eBay while I was looking to complete my collection of the early '80s The Black Hole movie tie-in comic.

I never saw the series, read the collection. I enjoyed it, and it's probably the best thing Charles Burns has ever done.

Now that's a comic I'd like to see! I love that movie. Yeah, it's a favourite film of mine too. The comic series (from Whitman) was only a four issue long series -- the first two issues adapted the film, while issues #3 and #4 continued the adventures of the Palomino crew beyond the black hole. It's not an amazing series or anything and the art is quite slapdash, if I recall correctly, but if you like the film, I daresay you will enjoy it. Issues #1 to #3 can be found pretty cheaply and quite regularly on eBay, but #4 is rarer than hen's teeth!

Im not talking about the stupid old Disney movie.
Im talking about the comic book from Top Cow or whatever. high schoolers that become weird mutants after they're infected with an STD.
Its pretty much a weird comic book version like the movie Kids except the comic book is weirder

Did you look at any of the links? -M
