So The Flash feature film lost its director, Seth Graehme-Smith over creative differences (though they are keeping his screenplay)...

and it looks like Aquaman could follow suit as it's director, James Wan expressed trepidation over continuing to work on the film...

creative differences here seeming to be suits telling the directors what to do/how to make the movies (the same kind of beefs DC editorial had when writers were leaving the comics left and right for a few years during the new52).
Now the Marvel cinematic universe has lost its share of directors (Thor: Dark World & Ant-Man both had directors replaced)so it's not unique to DC, nor necessarily a sign of doom and gloom, but it's not necessarily a good sign. Marvel had Kevin Feige front and center to steer the ship and handle the transitions in both cases, but I don't see a comparable figure steering the ship for WB/DC (and god forbid if it's Goyer or Zack Martin). Coupled with rumors over trepidation over the slate DC of films after the poor critical reception Dawn of Justice got and the fast tracking of the Affleck solo film because of the nature of Batman movies as proven sellers, and it looks like the launch of the DC film universe isn't going as smoothly as they had hoped. We'll see how it all goes, whether it's a bump in the road of the start of it going off the rails.
