I'm doing a couple of covers for other publishers. One for a series that has not been announced yet, but involves dinosaurs. The other for a Betty and Veronica variant cover for a comic book store.
The Archie one will be out the week of San Diego Comic-con and I will have a few copies at my table, but I don't know when the other one is scheduled for.
So, this post made me think we should take a look into other people's characters as seen through the eyes and art of Stan Sakai....
#1 - Monster Elementary
Update #17
Feb 23 2016
The Stan Sakai Print is Finished!
We are so grateful to Stan for agreeing to do a print for our Kickstarter campaign. This print will be released by us in a limited 100 piece run with up to 55 of those prints going to Kickstarter backers who ordered a print during the Volume 2 campaign. Once our backers rewards have been fulfilled, the rest will go up for sale on our website and at convention booths until we run out.
Thank you, Sakai-Sensei!

Hi Gwen,
I wanted to touch base with you again concerning the Stan Sakai incentive print from the Kickstarter campaign.
When reading through your Kickstarter updates, I saw the image which you had posted (looks awesome), and also read that you will be having a limited release of 100 copies for the print, 55 of which are reserved for Kickstarter supporters. Really wish I had learned of the campaign while it was still active. Any chance you are taking orders or reservations for copies of the remaining prints yet? I would really love to get one.
If I may ask, were all 100 copies of the print offered as perks and only 55 were actually claimed before the end of the fund raising campaign?
I also want to say that I am glad to hear that both volume 1 and 2 of Monster Elementary will have a direct market release, the books deserve it.
Thank you again,
Steve Hubbell

Dear Steve,
Thank you so much for your kind words about our publishing deal. We are thrilled and can't wait to see what the future holds.
We aren't taking preorders for the Stan Sakai prints; however, if you stay on top of our social media and mailing list, then you'll be sure to know when the rest are on sale. If you're following our Kickstarter updates, then you should know that we will not offer them to the public until we have shipped everything out to the Kickstarter backers.
And if you just want to be sure you don't miss it, I don't mind answering your emails if you want to keep checking in.
Regarding the numbers, the print run amount was decided by Stan and us after the campaign to make sure that there were enough for all of the backers who backed at a reward level that included one or more prints. Depending on how many people claim Stan's design as one of their print choices will determine how many are left available for the public. But there should be no less than 45 if my math's correct.
Sincerely,
Gwendolyn Dreyer
