Never heard of SKIN, and it sounds crazy. I might have to check that out.

Power Lords #2 (DC, 1983) I vividly remember when I saw this Power Lords comic hanging off the racks at a bookstore when I was a kid. Return of the Jedi had already come out, and I was looking for my next sci-fi fix. I had never heard of Power Lords, but as I was looking at this comic I thought "Maybe this is it!". Anything involving a Dimension of Doom is usually up my alley. The comic tells the story of Adam Power, a guy in an orange spacesuit that can turn into a blue-skinned humanoid with the flick of a power jewel. He is aided by Shaya (the Queen of Power), and Sydot the Supreme (the beer-bellied alien) as they are transported to the Dimension of Doom by Arkus, an evil red-winged insectoid. It is there that they must face monsters, monsters, and more monsters as Arkus and his crew begin to take over Earth. The Power Lords must find a way out of the Dimension of Doom before it's too late. While time hasn't exactly been kind to this comic, I simply loved it as a kid. I had never heard of Power Lords at the time I saw this, and was surprised to see an ad for the Power Lords toyline on the back of the issue. I never saw these toys on the shelf though, and the comic never made it past the three issue mini-series, so I eventually forgot about it. As such, it appears the comic series is obscure enough to include here.

Is this obscure? I had to have because it is Ditko. Never saw it before. Also purchased a comic called Alter Ego: Everett on Everett. From what I have read, it is has an interview with Everett as well as Moebius.

Here's another rather obscure Ditko gem, except for this one he only did the cover (which I hear is quite rare, a Ditko cover with no Ditko interior art): I love this cover, and Daughters of Time is actually a decent time travel story by Jack C. Harris. Kurt Schaffenberg did the interior art, which is serviceable. It is a 3-D comic, for those wondering.

I've never heard of. I'd buy it. Didn't realize Schaffenberger was still alive.

I've seen Power Lords but never open one.
That's actually a pretty good creative team for the time.
Was it based on a toy line ?

I really don't remember a thing about it. Like my other post of Duck & Cover, it's something I didn't intend to buy. So perhaps that's why I can't recall the details. But I am certain I did at least read it, unlike Duck & Cover.

Didn't check beforehand. Saw his name on the cover and thought he might still be around ? Looking it up it was published in 1991. $ 3.95 was kind of steep for that time period, so that's why I was thinking it was more recent.
